Halo Infinite Flight Feedback

Intro
First off, before I get too deep here, I want to say that I absolutely adore this game so far. The way the weapons feel, the general feature set, the graphics, it’s all beautiful, fun, and honestly just about definitely my new favorite Halo gameplay-wise. That said, of course, nothing is perfect, and so I still have a lot of feedback to provide from my weekend spent engulfed in the game.

Feedback/Suggestions

- Expand the Carnage Report
The Carnage Report has long been one of my favorite features of the Halo multiplayer experience. At the moment, the Carnage Report is sadly very lackluster. It no longer provides such info as who you killed most, who killed you most, tool of destruction, average life span, and many other things. While far from perfect, Master Chief Collection’s carnage report does provide quite a bit of info. Going deeper, Infinite’s should be similar to MCC’s in the info it provides, as well as letting you view players’ spartans and being able to scroll between the players by pressing the left and right bumpers, which was not a feature, either, in Infinite’s flight. Also, I do hope the Service Record returns in the full game as well!

- Spice Up the UI
To clarify: the in-game HUD is amazing. While running around and fighting, the HUD looks fantastic. Unfortunately, everything else in the UI is incredibly bland. The menus’ designs and more lack much personality at all and simply feel like a series of sharp-edged squares and rectangles with very little personality to it. Navigation itself could use some work, as well, but making the UI of the menus feel more like a representation of the games’ overall feel and general vibe would go a long way toward making the game experience feel more fluid and friendly to players upon first starting and returning to the game.

- Allow XP Gains Outside of Challenges
I do really like the challenge system in Infinite when it works. When I played the Flight, the daily challenges did not refresh each day outside of the “Practice Makes Perfect” one which steadily increases (an idea I love!) However, Because of that, it was only possible for me to reach Level 9, despite playing just about every waking moment all weekend. It would be nice if there were more XP possibilities for simple match completions in the final game, as well.

- Grenades Should NOT Glow on the Ground Unless HOT
\When I kill an enemy in Halo Infinite and they drop their grenades for pickup, I often jump back or run away because the way they glow on the ground makes it appear as though they are “hot” and ready to explode. They are plenty visible enough as it is without the glow, and thus this should be removed. Perhaps make it an option in the settings for accessibility purposes.

- Bring Back the “First Strike” Medal
Getting a First Strike in Halo games is a very satisfying and exciting moment, and the absence of the medal is surely felt in Infinite. Similarly, the “Last Strike” medal should come back as well, as it is a nice compliment and very fun to get the combo of both.

- Add Teammate Collision
Being able to phase through teammates takes me out of the game a lot, as well as reducing potential fun moments (like jumping on each others’ heads) and providing potential for unfair plays where players crowd together in a single spot. There are of course counters to that, but nonetheless, there should be collision with player teammates as in past games. Sidenote: betrayals should be possible after the match ends, as well. During the match friendly fire does not need to be on.

- Have the Radar Tell You If Enemies are Above or Below You
At the moment, the radar only tells you if enemies are on the same elevation as an enemy. As helpful as this is, it would be preferable if the game could have slight arrows, like in Reach, that tell you specifically if they are above or below you.

- Medal Idea: "Snaked"
Just a fun medal idea I had for when you grapple a weapon off of a pad/rack right when an enemy (or a teammate!) is near it to grab it.

Because I didn’t get the survey that 343 sent out this is the only place I can post the issues that I’ve found and I found quite a lot. I don’t know if you guys had the same experience but here’s the list of things I found.

Weird blue flash when loading into armoury training (count down)

Weapon glitches out when turning in armoury training/ multiplayer

Pause menu glitches/ flashes when navigating

Don’t like how you highlight something and it doesn’t display that item. For example the prosthesis. When you highlight the options you have to click A just to see what it looks like. It’ll be cool if we can see what it looks like without equipping it.

Also on prosthesis when you click none it doesn’t go back to normal and it’ll keep the prosthesis armour on and this will fix itself when you go back to lobby.

Sometimes when you change the left leg the right leg changes

Weapons bench, white flash when navigating the bench/ vehicle hub

In pause menu on controller there’s a bug that makes the sensitivity slider, when you turn it up and down, still says 0.0

When you select weapon drills it just shows a picture of the AR and you can’t do anything

At the end of the game when it shows people’s Spartans, sometimes it shows all 4 and sometimes it shows 1.
(Winners team circle)

(Bot slayer) when you’re finding a game the fire team lobby keeps appearing and disappearing.

(Personal opinion)
Some weapons need tweaking, I think the pulse carbine needs to be faster firing with faster projectiles

Grenades disappear after falling on the floor when I die, this sometimes happens when I throw a Grenade too it’ll disappear.

Threw deployable shield and nothing happened

At the start of the bot slayer match all the bot always go one way together. Without fail and then they start to split up after we killed them. It’ll be nice if the bot split up a bit more at start.

Green and red flashing mid game bot slayer

Armour customisation tabs seem to be flashing when you equip an armour piece

Weapons bench/ vehicle bay
You can see the lines on the weapons flashing if you look closely, this also happens in the vehicle bay but it’s harder to see. I noticed it very well looking at the razorback

Main menu has the same problem when you look around the boxes on the right of your Spartan you’ll see this black flash.

Sometimes in lobby your Spartan isn’t there.

Multiplayer
Sometimes when I jump it cancels

Multiplayer
My Spartan glows white when I die sometimes

Multiplayer
Teammates outline flashes sometimes

Audio sometimes disappears while shooting weapons, I’ll shot but no audio (rare)

Weapon training, the announcer becomes mute

Dead bodies often clip into the ground, noticed this when I died on Bazzar

Recharge the fan displays the lighting wrong

Ingame announcer repeats stuff over and over again right after saying it. Example, In my game the announcer said ‘you’re good spartan’ then he decided to say that over and over like 5-6 times.

Taking unnecessary damage at the end of the game, the screen will go black and for some reason youre taking damage.

Where did they post surrounding the survey?

Not everybody got one.
