Halo Infinite feels like an outdated game

I forgot to mention that 343 also only brought back a few of Reach’s guns.

you say retreat, i say flank

Actually that one is very good. It prevents you from long range fights all the time and you can see when a knight is doing it. I like that when the teleport-charge-melee happenes to me

So an enemy that can only be reliably fought at long range needs to have something to make it suddenly close the gap and remove your advantage that you can leverage over it?

That is not balanced game design.
It is one of the main reasons why literally EVERY Promethean and their Arsenal were reworked from Halo 4 to Halo 5-

  • Boltshot no longer being an OP Pocket shotgun for PvP engagements.
  • Suppressor actually being a good weapon as an AR/SMG
  • Light-Rifle lost the burst-fire in favor of staying single-fire.
  • Incineration Cannon now requires a charge up for the big blast and does a weaker volley with a trigger-tap.
  • Scattershot now has better projectiles
  • Binary Rifle still does about the same
  • Pulse Grenades were useless and replaced with Splinter Grenades
  • Soldiers were added.
  • Knights now don’t teleport and are more like walking tanks that can actually be fought at close-ranges.
  • Watchers are less annoying with how guns can kill them.

The only ones that weren’t changed were The Crawlers.

i only said about the teleport melee. I just say i like it. You dont and thats fine to me

Right… any point you may think you had was drowned out by excessive, and unnecessary gaming history speeches and putting in exceptions everywhere.

Even going so far as to start justifying and explaining changes which did anger the community at the Halo CE to Halo 2 era. Changes which were mirroring to great lengths items brought up by you, regarding Halo 4. Thus undermining your own “golden rule”.
