Halo Infinite Feedback

I didn’t get a feedback email so this seems like as good a place as any to throw my thoughts down.

TITLE SCREEN / MENUS / UI

  • Overall, it needs work. Many people felt the customization screens were too hard to navigate. - Needless to say, please make the ‘settings’ persist through game restarts. - The “players in lobby” or the “party” needs to be more obvious or anchored to a different location. I want to see who’s in my lobby at a quick glance, not have to open more menus. - Please separate the “Spartan UI” voice volume from the “announcer” volume. Hearing “Frags aquired!” And “Wow you’re quite lethal with that!” And “Nice shot!” was incredibly annoying. I ended up turning off all announcer audio just to shut that up.THE MAPS

  • I’m not a big fan of the maps. It’s clear you tried to make the maps revolve around the weapon / equipment spawns, which is good, but none of the maps don’t have a “map control” type of area.
    Without a “map control” type of location, players just end up running in circles.THE EQUIPMENT
    It’s OK. I’m very glad spartan abilities have been replaced by equipment pickups. I’m also impressed you removed loadouts. Well done.

WEAPONS

  • AR needs nerfed. - I’m not a fan of bloom, so I would rather there be no bloom. But overall I think the bloom needs toned down on everything, it makes the commando and the pistol feel inconsistent. - The BR is perfect don’t touch it - Rockets are weak. Grenades are weak with a weird blast radius. Sniper shoots slow.SLIDING / SPRINT / CLAMBER

  • I don’t like sprint but at least it has been nerfed and given a niche use, for sliding, rather than just letting you zoom across the map. The slow speed is good. - Clamber is trash and removes all skill from movement and jumping. An entire skill-aspect of Halo has been removed.GAMEPLAY

  • Weapons despawn almost immediately after you die and drop them. This is bad. They don’t need to despawn and respawn on the rack immediately.That’s about it. Fix the frame rate and optimization.

Yea I really do agree with you.

Agree with a lot. Maps need tot be a lot better. More atmosphere, like Guardian and lockout. Sniper has to shoot faster. Climbing sucks. Remember, in the good old days, cod followed halo. Now it is the other way around. We want halo, not call of duty. Alsof not a fan of sprint, but at least it is not very fast. Equipments are good and I am happy load outs are gone. AR is too powerfull. Grapple hook and the use of taking active camo with you is awsome. That is the stuff that keeps halo good with a new twist. Keep up the good work!

Why? The AR is really fun to use in this game. I’d rather them buff the rest of the weapons up to snuff than nerf the AR. The AR should be the baseline for balance imo.

Just some dissenting opinions from the original poster:
-Grenades aren’t weak
-love the new maps
-the toned-down sprint works fine
-Clambering is a great mechanic, please keep it
-love the AIs, but I realize some might not, so being able to separate AIs from announcer makes sense
-A fast loading sniper would be overpowered relative to the other power weapons

I would agree that the customization screens are currently hard to navigate, and that the equipment pickup approach works well.

I enjoyed the assault riffle/AR more in this Halo than any previous Halo please do not change that. I think y’all did a great job on this
I would slightly increase the speed of battle rifle/br but not a big deal I can adapt to the rate currently.
I think the ability to climb is great
The mechanics of movement felt great.
I would hope y’all would add something like war zone to this in the future. I think it would be cool to see dropping into a Halo. I enjoyed the trial days playing it.
