When it comes to the frag grenade in Halo Infinite it seems to be very delayed in terms of its detonation. In comparison to previous iterations that had a shorter detonation what I have experienced in the first and second flight tests is that these are way longer. As an example in Halo 3 the grenade if thrown against a wall making it tap once may have a slightly longer detonation time. However it is minuscule to that of Halo Infinite, during gameplay the grenades even just simply thrown on the ground require to tape twice then explode. The same occurs when thrown against a wall it taps on the wall then taps the ground and a second occurs later leading to the explosion. It feels sluggish especially during combat in certain situations since some might be expecting to use it more strategically. Instead it becomes a hindrance for the player. If it were changed to be faster in its detonation I believe the item will be better overall.
