I felt like Escharum’s design was really cartoony. I would have much preferred a design akin to Halo Wars 2. I know that Blur Studios is really expensive, but at least match the art style. Does anyone agree with me on this?

I agree completely. I imagine he will look better in the final version after the delay.

I can give you a guess. It was way easier, faster, and cheaper to avoid adding facial hair to the Brute characters. Fan backlash seems to be re-prioritizing that idea for the moment though.

Yeah I remember reading in one of their waypoint posts that they will infact add brutes with facial hair - Not sure if this was in response to the backlash or if at the point in time (in terms of development) of the demo they just hadn’t implemented them yet - Either way the end result is the same so the reasoning doesn’t matter as much, though if they did it in response to the backlash that makes it clear that they’re listening to the community’s worries and criticisms.

I like his design but the actual graphics quality of him definitely needs work. He looked like he was made out of clay.
