I see some sites have halo infinite available for pre order and they all say “Halo Infinite Xbox Series X - Standard Edition”.
Does this mean there will be editions such as standard or ultimate/legendary editions? And if so what do you think will be the difference and included with each edition?
At this point we don’t know, we can only speculate.
Any default version of a game is called the “standard edition” which doesn’t necessarily mean there’ll be other editions but I assume there will be.
As for what they include? Who knows. I imagine there’ll probably be a weapon or armour coating for pre ordering.
Physical editions will probably come with some form of memorabilia.
For me, I just get the digital versions. Never really been to fussed about editions. As long as I have the game that’s all I need
Reminds me a bit of when Quake Champions was getting started. You could get all the content piecemeal over time, but early adopters of “pre-ordered” copies got access to all characters immediately.
I could maybe see them doing something similar with more armor choices or skins out of the gate, but not necessarily locked.
As previously said, all we can do is speculate for now! I liked Quake’s model, but I’m excited any way we approach it.
