Waited hours for the codes to go.
Waited hours for the website to load so I could get my code.
Waited another hour to download and installs the flgiht.
It’s now 12AM.
Hit Play on Steam, nothing happens. The Stop button turns back to the Play button after two seconds, no programs attempt to launch, no programs crashed.
Just nothing happens at all.
This is literally Halo Infinitely Waiting.
I’m having the same problem. it wont launch what so ever when I hit start on steam.
Same here push to Play -> black screen 1 sec -> nothing

Same as you, error report says I didn’t have enough memory resources available. You can find your crash report SteamLibrary >SteamApps >common >MGS Test APP 6 >crash_report. No other insight than that sadly

Same. Going to try reinstalling and running as admin if I can figure out what exe is which.
i have the same problem i have the steam version and when i try to launch this it just loads a black screen with 4 white dots on the top left corner and then i just close.
if it wont launch completely exit steam and relaunch it. that worked for me
Okay gents. Go to your steam common folder > MGS Test App 6 > right click game_Release.exe. Go properties > compatibility > check run as administrator. Try launching it again from steam and give it a couple minutes to boot up. Worked for me.
Looks like most of us are gonna need a patch. I tried running as admin, relaunching game after Steam reload, making sure Win10 can access Xbox Live through Win10 settings, & having Xbox App open and logged in. Nothing worked. Occasionally, I can hear a short segment of Halo theme music right before I’m backed out to my desktop.

I’m having a similar issue on console. I select halo infinate and nothing happens. No black screen, nothing saying “were preparing your game”. It just doesn’t do anything.
I’m also having this problem. It’s very frustrating cause I wanna play so badlyyy. Black screen and 4 dots wont go away…

Havin ]g the same issue on my Xbox. Says an update is needed, but the Xbox cant get it right now for some reason. Lowkey ticking me off, I couldn’t
get my code until this morning because waypoint was down for me.
Verifying Steam files doesn’t work.
Running as Admin doesn’t work.
Restarting the computer or Steam doesn’t work.
Changing compatibility mode doesn’t work.
It doesn’t even launch the program at all, the Play button turns to Stop indicating its launching, then after a second goes back to Play indicating no program launched. It doesn’t show it crashing, it doesn’t print logs, it doesn’t give an error code. It just doesn’t do anything.
I cannot launch the game successfully. Updated the NVIDIA drivers to current after receiving the below error and upon trying to start up the game, I receive only this error message again:

Guess I’ll double-check if my graphics card is good enough. Ran the dxdiag command, DirectX version says DirectX 12. Restarted Steam, no change in outcome. Verified integrity of game files: All files successfully validated.
No crash_report file exists in my game folder, either.
Okay, now after putting the .exe into compatibility mode to run as administrator, I receive a new error message:

> Incompatible Operating System Version. Please update your Windows 10 Operating System to the Fall Creators Update (version 1709) or higher
Guess I’ll try that next.
I was having this same problem on steam, and this is what fixed it for me. I have MSI afterburner and rivatuner on my pc. Once I exited those applications, my game was able to get passed the black startup screen and load the main menu. I turned off the steam overlay as well just in case. I have had some crashes here and there, but it has loaded to the main menu every time now for me.
It turns out my graphics card is considered NonCompatible in the game’s data folder for NVIDIA.txt file. As it is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB model. So I found a YouTube video that showed me how to fix it:
GP104, GP106 sections in the file, sure enough both said NotCompatible. Changed them to Low. Now the game boots up. Took a few minutes to load but now I can play the game's technical preview.Im kinda stuck as well. Checked crash logs, it says:
“Not enough memory resources are available to complete this operation.”
Get a black screen with the loading dots for about 5 seconds, then the game crashes. Im on an RTX2070 Super.
