In case you haven’t heard, 343 just confirmed that the demo was from “several weeks ago”, and not January, as originally thought.

I’m sure this goes without saying, but this is bad news. Terrible news, in fact. While they also mentioned they have taken community feedback on the visuals into consideration, the reality is there is no way they will be able to dramatically alter the game in a few months time. Perhaps a little polishing here and there, but what we saw is very likely what we’re going to get.
Then there’s the subject of MP. They have essentially cancelled their flighting plans meaning that MP will launch with no real community feedback. Yikes.
I understand that 343 intends to support this game heavily after launch (which is great!), but it seems as though we are going to get a very incomplete product at launch (which is not so great).
Of course we can all understand the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic and working from home have presented, but they’ve had 5 years to get this game right. 5 years!
At this point, I think it’s best to lower your expectations or risk being extremely disappointed. Let’s just hope their post-launch support is out of this world!
My advice is to not pre-order and wait for reviews after the game launches. Also don’t buy a Xbox Series X just for this game as it make no sense to do so because the game does not even look next gen and it is obvious it is not using next gen technologies.
A delay is needed. 4 month delay at the minimum.

That’s some pretty sound advice.
It just sucks, man. I’ve been a Halo fan since CE, and have loved every Halo game, save for 4 and 5, which were tolerable at best. My parents bought me an Xbox 360 solely to play Halo 3, and I had intended on buying the Series X solely for Infinite. However, after seeing this launch title, it’s become abundantly clear that the upgrade just isn’t worth it at this stage.

My friend and I were just joking about how, after all this, the only use Series X is going to get this holiday season is as a blunt instrument for parents fighting their way through crowds trying to get a PS5.
This game looks so under-cooked it probably needs another year, at least. I’m betting Angry Joe has a field day with this game.

Yeah. All the game reviewers that are not part of the access media elitist bubble are going to tear this game to shreds.
