So in terms of customization and worth, Halo Infinite in it’s current state will not get to the level of how great the customization was In Halo Reach.
And it’s not primarily because of the monetization itself but of the value you receive for even buying that customization.
In Halo Reach your Spartan customizations we’re included in the story, it was Noble 6 how you envisioned him. It brought you and your imagination into the game.
It was t just multiplayer it was the story as well l, and they had a firefight mode. All these modes were revolving around your Spartan and the customization of them
Tell me I know some of you played certain missions just for that shot of your spartan in the cutscene.
Now let’s take Halo Infinite. The story your the chief and no hate there that’s what we wanted.
But in reach the cosmetics were essentially earned, but in Infinite we get an Intro… Maybe an outro if you win. But that’s it … the value you put into paying for a cosmetic does not equal reflect the value you get for buying it.
We don’t have a cool cutscene with our Spartan, except for that academy training thing where we see our feet and hands…
So really buying the cosmetics doesn’t make sense, at least if your hoping to get the same value you got in reach.
So far Infinite is not on track to even remotely come close to Halo Reach customization. It feels more like a watered down, stripped away variant of reach. With a price tag on every peice of armor that’s attainable only by real money not in game earned credits
