Alright so I am here to talk about customization which I am sure there are countless threads regarding this specific topic but here is my version.
I do enjoy the Halo infinite multiplayer, it seems fun just as Halo has always been but the problem now is the way this game is being monetized. I could swallow the hard pill of not being able to access the armor I want, even though 343i hyped us up about being our own spartan (can’t be one with it does not look like it).
I cannot deal with the way armor color is being treated i.e., you get no creativity; you instead are forced into specific color presets. That to me is not fair at all, I understand monetizing the game allows for content to keep flourishing, etc but if you have already put a ton of customization behind paywalls, then why should the bare-minimum i.e., armor color, also be added to that mix?
I did elude earlier about not being able to become my own Spartan with the way things are regarding Battlepass but in previous Halo titles like Halo 3, we were given a few base armor pieces and the rest you had to earn through achievements that may take a few weeks or a month (like that 7th day achievement). On Halo infinite every single armor piece is behind leveling which is extremely hard to do and is slightly alleviated by paying 10$ minimum but it is still a grind.
My favorite helmet is now only achieve-able at level 45 and earning your way there is going to be a massive grind especially when games last more than 15 minutes with challenges being the main source of leveling.
I suggest that all base armor should be available with attachments to that armor being the ones that cost level or cost credits. Armor effects of course should just cost credits and earned via achievements.
All in all at the bare minimum our color choices should be our choice to be made, if you want to charge for textures e.g., Worned out, scratched, clean, dirty, bloody, etc then that is fine but our base colors being kept in a preset is beyond ridiculous.
