Has anybody encountered hard crashes on the Series X regardless of what you do on the game? I’ve tried all manner of workarounds such as clearing caches, reinstalling the game, resetting the Xbox etc. It’s worth noting every other game plays fine and other people I know that play Infinite on a Series X don’t get this issue.
Any advice is welcome because at this point it’s getting ridiculous.
For me to play Infinite on my series X I have to turn off quick resume every, single, time I want to play infinite… It is utterly ridiculous.
Does your game crash randomly too? Also, how do you turn off quick resume?
Yeah, I’ll be in a game sometimes and it will just dashboard me, or kick me from the game for no reason. Its a server/343 issue I think, because I know people with xbox ones AND PCs that it happens to also.
Unfortunately you can’t permanently turn it off (stupid design by microsoft) but you can hit the guide button, go down to see all games, when it shows you the games that are currently “quick resume”, press the start button on that games picture and go down to “remove from quick resume”. But like I said, you’ll have to do it every time you want to play, or atleast I do. Every day I play Infinite, when I’m done playing, I just go ahead and remove it from quick resume. Stupid addittion that they clearly didn’t test fully.
But yeah, most of the games I play I have to remove from quick resume because it won’t actually LOAD the game unless you do disable it.
See I clicked on “remove from quick resume” then it quits the game but the second you go to play it, the game’s put straight back on quick resume. This is so frustrating.
Thats true. it will kick you out of the game, then you have to LOAD back in. Every, Single, Time.
I’ve yet to hear of anything specific that can be done or that is impacting it. Hopefully it’s something small that you can get figured out to be able to move on and not have this happen anymore.
Halo Infinite crashes on my Xbox series X as well. Tried everything too. Including power cycling the Xbox and reinstalling the game, clearing the cache, deleting and factory resetting the Xbox and nothing works. It will kick me to dashboard or turn off the Xbox completely in mid games. I mainly play ranked on multiplayer and it’s very frustrating. Even if I have only been playing the game for 30 minutes or so. And my Xbox has plenty of room around it for air flow isn’t overheating…

I have the same problems. Sometimes, it’s just freeze for a sec and turn itself off sometimes it’ run smoothly. I’m pretty sure that lots of people have the same issue because I saw handful of guys randomly left the ranked game
Resolution was my Series X was FUBAR.
Happens to me too, no fixes I can find. 343 pretty much told me I am on my own and closed the ticket.
I reopened it by sending them a nasty note after they soft-banned me for quitting so many games and explained it was their crap game crashing, but that magically didn’t get them to do anything either.

I’m glad to have found this thread as I’m another case of this crashing. I was so excited when I was able to reserve the pre-order for the Halo Infinite Edition XSX only to receive it and deal with hard crashes from day 1. Campaign, multiplayer, even in the menu once I click the home button. Constant freezes and and kick outs to dashboard and complete system shut downs. Don’t even try Big Team Battle as for me it’s an instant crash. Every other game I play works fine and no crashing occurs. Only Halo Infinite. Like so many others, I’ve created tickets to 343 and haven’t received any help. I thought about sending the unit into Microsoft only to be met with them telling me if they have to issue me another refurb console it might not be the Halo Infinite XSX. That’s total crap. This is a real problem we are facing. A lot of us are die hard halo fans and can’t enjoy the game with these recurring issues. I gave up for awhile and played other games like Warzone and Rocket League but now I can’t take it anymore. Has anyone found a solution or can provide an update with their experience from 343 or Microsoft? This is beyond insane.

Personally, I haven’t seen anymore crashes on my Series X, the last crash I experienced was on my Xbox One X. But wow… I can’t believe this is still an issue for the “world’s most powerful console” hahaha
Quick Resume is the only highlighted feature of Xbox Series X and it causes more issues than it solves. Any game that connects to a server has to be rebooted or returned to main menu or you have to reload a save. Defeats the entire purpose of Quick Resume.
Man, day after day, PlayStation 5 is looking better and better and all Sony has to do is keep waking up in the morning and letting Microsoft bury itself a little bit more every few years.
Im still getting packet loss notifications every game, every night. Sooooo lol
Yeah I had a few crashes (around 5-10 since launch) and when I was playing in a party, it crashed for everybody else too.
I haven’t played in a while, but mine hard crashed at least once a night
