Halo Infinite Cosmetics…

Here’s my take on what’s going with Halo Infinite Cosmetics…

The community buys $60 campaign → you get some cosmetics but you won’t get $60 worth of cosmetics. Also, I’m having to purchase Halo Reach armor that I’ve unlocked in MCC AND Halo Reach on 360… yeah no thank you. I don’t understand why we’re paying for armor when we spent $60 on campaign and $10 more on a battlepass to feel like we are earning something. No offense, but this is outrageous. We paid for $60 worth of cosmetics in the 360 and Halo 5 days; where is that today? In Halo 4 you could buy a pack of armor for $15 that had plenty of sets. The fact that you make us spend $7 for an off brand ONI ODST helmet that was free when Halo 5 came out is messed up.

Also, you gave us plenty of new content for free in MCC and all of the armor from the games to unlock too, after everyone has spent their money buying the titles.

I believe Halo Infinite will become MCC, where the game lays dormant until big changes happen. The store is not helping us, and the fact that most of the packs are filled with emblems and colors that can’t cross over is messed up too. No one asked for it… to be honest Req packs were tolerable because you can earn them, but this is going way too far. You can’t compare buying a coffee to buying a $5 cosmetic pack, especially when most of this should’ve launched free with the game if you spent $60 on it (basing it off of the model that has been around since games first launched with cosmetics).

Because halo is a legendary game and 343I decided to abuse it.

They can keep dropping armour prices but they will never meet us in the middle.

It should be buy the campaign get full access. Dont buy the campaign then stay default or start coughing up.

I haven’t bought anything for the multilayer and I never will.

You buy the campaign, the collectibles are tertiary, always have been.

They’re brand new model designs, they’re not the same things you’ve unlocked before.

Nightfall was different from Buck’s design in Halo 5, and Firefall is a different entirely from those two.

Most likely because Halo 5’s req sales subsidized MCC’s post launch development. MCC’s post launch discounted prices would not have covered 7 years of game changing support after a failed launch.

You can thank the Halo 5 whales for MCC.

Oh you want me to make the $60 price tag on the campaign and lack of cosmetics worse? I’ve made multiple comments and posts about this and I’ll keep going until fixed.
The pre-order bonuses are still broken. The bonuses includes: The Zeta Sky armor coating, The Chosen nameplate, and a store exclusive weapon Coating

  1. Only Amazon (Commando), Best Buy (BR), GameStop(AR), and Walmart (sidekick) had pre-order bonuses. Steam and the Microsoft store got nothing.
  2. Once copies were sent out, Walmart never received their codes from Microsoft. Leaving most people without what they paid early for.
  3. Many codes (most common is gamestop, but across the board) simply do not work. Waypoint logs them as one thing, but players only receive a sidekick coating. Even if they were promised another. And no Armor nor nameplate.
I’m one of the few whose code (amazon) worked as intended, but I won’t let this topic die. We paid early for our items, we deserve to have what we paid for.
