Halo Infinite Content Ideas & Possibilities

10 Years. 10 long years.


With Halo Infinite going to be around for the next 10 years I thought it would be fun to speculate what they may add to the game over those 10 years. Personally, I hope they do Campaign add-ons as a way to keep the story going or even spin-offs. I have made a list of content they could possibly add to Infinite, let me know what you think.

Armor from the Spartan Teams


There are 23 Fireteams and 25 Teams so almost 50 spartan teams to pull armor from or even tell a side of their story in-game. They can even bring some of the books into the game like the Kilo-Five Trilogy.

Forge - Flyable Pelicans/AI/etc…


For the longest time, people have asked for the pelican to be flyable in custom games, I would love to see this in custom games and what people can do with it. Who knows they could add it to a game mode. Of course, bots have been confirmed but what about placing AI on your map and being able to adjust the AI parameters like having them roam in an area or even adjusting their difficulty. Would also love to be able to use the ODST Drop Pod and pilot it.

Firefight


We haven’t heard anything yet on firefight for Halo Infinite but I do hope it makes a return and is properly implemented. I would like to be able to create Firefight maps in Forge, by doing this the community can create new maps for the game mode and have them in rotation, would also be nice to have friendly AI teammates come and assist or even Spartan teams. They also could add objectives into Firefight as they did in Halo 5, they could even have us playing Firefight on the halo ring in a section of the map.

Conclusion


There is so much potential for Halo Infinite and what they could add to the game over the next 10 years (hopefully they add some vehicles from Halo Wars). What do you think they should add to the game? Old weapons/vehicles? Custom Game Browser? Mod Tools?

A mission based / free roam of the campaign map as my own Spartan
Different types of missions
Headhunter mission (leader hit missions)
Rescue mission
Support mission
Emergency ODST drops into firefights

Totally like everything you have here. My only fear is that it will turn out like Destiny. I hope if they add to the map they don’t take parts away. Wouldn’t it be epic if they made so we can travel the whole ring.

Also like these ideas.

I would add the following for both Campaign and Firefight. All of which you would need to accomplish missions or retake a number of FOBs(Forward Operation Bases).

  • Call in artillery support in the forms of Longswords, MAC gun, or like what we had in Halo Reach.

  • Call in ODST drops or even Spartan drops.

  • Call in Reinforcements via pelican or quick reaction force from nearby FOBs.
    For Multiplayer and Firefight modes.

  • A large almost the size of the Campaign map to have a total warzone zone. That for multiplayer PvP could host 24v24 and PvE 12 to 24 players doing a objective gameplay. This would allow for flyable Pelicans or Dropships or Spirits. Some of the objective modes could be like Invasion from Reach but a grander scale. Defend or Capture FOBs. Stuff like that.

  • For a firefight mode Flood onslaught. Ever since reading Halo: The Flood I wanted to have mode were we had to counter waves of Flood and each time a player or friendly AI died they would join the Flood.

For all modes I would love from them to add the following.

  • All vehicles seen in Halo games including Halo Wars.

  • All weapons seen in all Halo games. I love a lot of the power weapons we could use in Halo 5.

I just want to be my Spartan and do what Spartans do best, kill the banished and go on missions on zeta halo!

I know people rip on Spartan ops, but I think something similar without the long winded story, just simple missions that could be set up to be anywhere in the campaign map
(Example: you’re based a FOB ALPHA, the loading screen is a rundown of what the mission entails,((save Spartan Davis behind enemy lines etc))then get dropped in and get to work)

I’m really loving the gameplay of Halo Infinite, and I’m surprised to see so many new weapons.
However, one thing I’m really missing are some of the old classics:

  • Classic Shotgun (now may be redundant with the bulldog)
  • Fuel rod cannon
  • Spiker
  • Brute Shot
  • Old school plasma rifle.

There’s a good few more, and I’d love to see them come back!

One big thing: please bring back the EMP that came from the plasma pistol! I keep thinking of it as 'ol reliable for stunning a vehicle, but keep getting reminded of it’s now gutted capabilities. I feel a lot of identity of the gun is now lost, even with it’s shield stripping abilities. I know this may step on the toes of the disruptor, but old muscle memory dies hard.

I thought it would be cool if there where interesting fractures that didn’t have to necessarily be non cannon material.

Like what if there was a small group that worked with the swords of sanghelios to stop jackal pirates that were harassing ships from both the UNSC and them. mission goes south a spartan 4 saves an elite. Elite has spartan armor made in a style that is like elite armor but fitted for a spartan as thanks for keeping them alive.

Or Armor that is super old like they never made it type of thing. Halsey or some one drew up some sketches of a “maybe some day” prototype and eventually it would turn into the armor we all know. Maybe a spartan museum or something made the original design and it was never meant to be used just a museum piece.

i think odd stuff like that could lead to interesting armor and stuff with out having to put to much in game that feels out of place. games with a life plan as long as this tend to get really weird with the cosmetics over time.
