We got a lot of stuff in Halo Infinite. From what we’ve got from the E3 trailer, it appears we’re back to a Halo ring, and based on numerous theories and lore, it seems we’re in Zeta Halo or Installation 07. Ok, cool, but there’s more to it. Halo 5 is obviously connected to Halo 6, but so is Halo Wars 2 right?
So, in Halo 5, it’s revealed that Cortana has a lot of AI allies from the UNSC, and she’s calling every specie in the Galaxy to side with her. EVERY SINGLE SPECIE. If they refused, they would be exterminated. Seeing her power, I don’t think it’s a secret that the species will likely side with her in place of being killed. As so, I think it’s no secret that the UNSC and Swords of Sanghelios will oppose to her. It’s possible we could see a reformed Covenant also based on the description of an online store “selling” (not the right term) the game.
Ok, we already got a lot from Halo 5, but now let’s look at Halo Wars 2. It’s said that Halo Wars 2 will impact Halo Infinite. What do we have from that game? Simple: The Banished. Yes, despite their only ship, the Enduring Conviction, a CAS class Assault Carrier having being destroyed and most of it’s troops killed. Unlikely, but frankly, they didn’t started and developed the Banished this far only for it to be trashed sometime later. How will Atriox react to Cortana’s proposal?
Another option is the Spirit of Fire. They’re still there, the ship is intact and no one in the hero scene died. By the time of Halo Infinite (which is speculated to be around 2560), I think it’s plentiful of time for the Spirit of Fire to had built another slipspace engine (pun unintended) and getting the hell out of there into UNSC territory. When slipspace jumping, they could accidentally arrive at Zeta Halo. Yeah, it’s extremely astronomically unlikely, but what else do we got?
So much going on and so much coinciding with Halo infinite. What are your thoughts on this? With so much, do you think the game will be a bit over-saturated?
Maybe it’s a reason why we’re getting the multiplayer (if were getting it) in 2020 or whatever. The campaign will have so much that the MP would be very lackluster. A theory I have.

Hmmm perhaps rumour is the wrong word. I’m not exactly disagreeing with you, just not convinced one way or another. By rumour, I mean there were lots of theories put forward that he could have been meaning(some very vague/reaching).
The hopeful Halo fan in me has me being a fence sitter on this subject and not wanting to flat out agree with you :’) Allow me my distant hope, please 
Not that this is exactly a reliable form of info on this, especially since they are prone to general date changes, but EBgames Australia has a tbc 2019 for Halo Infinity. I feel like this might add a tidbit of credibility to the rumour, which as far as I know stems from the date in the Pelicans HUD potentially coinciding with a real-world date in 2019, similar to H5’s release date - In-game beginning date.

I don’t think 343 would do that because halo 5 released incomplete I don’t think they will do that again also we don’t know how far in development halo infinite is

It’s mainly because of the wild life. A deer-like specimen was found on the ring, likely the ones we saw in the E3 trailer. Then, it’s also the Morse code. Check HiddenXperia, he made a video analyzing the trailer.

If it really is Zeta Halo, then we have either 2 or 3 rings. Installation 07, Installation 04C and the Halo 5 ring with the possibility of the ring being Ins. 04C.
I do think it is strange to introduce Installation 09 in Halo Wars 2- have it intercepted by Cortana, then have the Halo in Infinite set on Installation 07.
Back when 09 was revealed in HW2 we all thought it was the Halo at the end of H5. But now it seems we might be wrong. 09 would not have wildlife on it as it’s a fresh ring from the Ark, not seeded with life. And all the evidence, specifically the Morse code points to Zeta Halo being the setting.
My old theory involving Installation 09 was that Cortana would use Anders’ distress call to set a trap for the Infinity which would then get shot down onto the ring. It is possible Anders’ encounter with Cortana could play into Halo Infinite, but I’m now leaning toward that being a setup for a future Halo Wars 3 given the new Zeta Halo information.
I’m interested in seeing How John and company get on Zeta Halo now.
I just got chills thinking about the Banished siding with Cortana, let alone all the other faction that could join her that we don’t know about.
