So I know I have complained a lot about the ammo being crap in Halo 4 Halo 5 and Halo Infinite from what I have seen so I had a thought what would you all think of a Halo CE mode which would allow us to carry large amounts of ammo
Maybe they can effectively change the amount of carried ammo based on difficulty?
This sounds like a fun Skull idea.
Call it the Basics Skull. Kinda like “back to basics”. Back to how it all started.
This for a skull is great, but it does lack some justification as this game is pretty far gone from CE and 343 have only hurt themselves by calling it a reboot.
What Infinite needs is CE-style ammo caches regularly distributed throughout each mission, so players can, if they so please, use only two weapons for the entire mission. Truth and Reconciliation is a great level because its design lets you use the assault rifle and sniper the whole way through. If CE was like Halo 4, you would have run out of sniper ammo in the first encounter and the AR soon after.
Still love the CE Assault Rifle with the big ammo clip
Maybe you could activate a skull which makes it so the regular BR is replaced with the old CE rifle, along with its firing speed and accuracy. Or, it could be an easter egg which you can find in a hidden area. I think if we had 600 ammo at all times, unless it’s for a specific modder weapon we keep with us, it’ll be too much ammo. Unless if other UNSC weapons aren’t present nearby, it’s just too much ammo.

No it is not to much ammo a 60 round magazine and 600 spare is great
