So am I going to have to pay for halo infinite? I was under the impression that it came with the series x but I have no idea.
As far as I know, its going to be a day 1 Xbox Game Pass game
If you want just the multiplayer this is free to play for everyone.
Campaign, you will have to pay, but the amount depends. You can get Xbox Game Pass which has a huge array of games. You don’t own the game so if they take it off you would then need to buy it for access. I love the service and personally haven’t bought a game on Xbox since getting my Series X. I pay £8 per month for game pass ultimate.
Or you can buy disc to own the campaign although I doubt it will leave game pass within the next few years or longer so could get the game cheaper then. Alternatively pay full price, get preorder dlc, steelbook case and support the game’s release. Digital copy of the game can also be purchased.

What gave you that idea? The only xbox thats coming with halo infinite is the halo themed xbox series x. Otherwise youll either need to pay for it or play it on gamepass. (As mentioned the MP is free however.)

I just remember when the series x was announced that it claimed that infinite would come with the console just like I got the master chief collection when I had bought my Xbox one

Unfortunately that’s no longer the case on account of the game being delayed 2 years after the console.

You misunderstood the messaging. It was never that Halo would come with the console. It was that Halo would launch alongside the console. You were always going to have to buy it separately or have Gamepass.
