First off I don’t often post here I usually just come here to check out other people’s opinions and this will be a first post of mine for a fair while.
With that being said with the long wait for any new infinite news has lead me to re watch the trailers a fair few times now and something came to my mind whilst watching and I would like to share my thoughts on how I think the campaign will unfold.
So during the Deliver Hope trailer I noticed that the new pilot after bringing chief out of survival mode says “welcome back chief” now this has gone over my head a few times as him just welcoming chief back from being asleep until now it has just occurred to me that maybe the way he says it is less of a informal hello and more to the fact that the chief and the pilot may have a history(not romantic).
it also then brings up the point that the cutscene we were showed is the first cutscene of the game and in said cutscene we see a damaged halo ring which lets be honest is a big thing to leave out of the game and poses many questions this brings me to my next point.
Story
The theory that I am formulating in my mind is that infinite will take a lot of the Halo ODST formula and apply it to its campaign for example the semi open world and more importantly how we unravel the story. Similarly to how ODST has you going to certain places on the map to find objects of interest which then sends you to the moment these objects played their parts.
I believe Halo infinite will start with this cutscene then have you go back onto the halo to unravel what happened and how it came to being destroyed. this will roughly go on for about a 1/3 of the campaign Until the timelines are cleared up then it will continue with the story.
I feel like the exclusion of the destruction of the halo is too big of a plot point to leave out what are your thoughts and opinions? Sorry for any bad grammar or Engrish I’m a pretty lazy Typer!
