I’m not alone… I’M NOT ALONE!!! WHOOOOOO; What was I saying? Oh right, I agree, but if Firefight is part of the deal, like Reach and ODST in MCC are, £60 is fine by me.

Sadly no Firefight/Warzone mode has been confirmed as of yet.

Have they announced there will be mt? I havnt seen anything about that but have been curious about that actually. Ive been driving cross country last week so i am a tad behind.
And i would still argue there is no need to make the game cheaper even if so. It hasnt stoped literally ANY game under any circumstances in any way. I dont underatand what makes this specific game so special that it should be cheaper at the start. They still had to make a ton of work on the campaign. And they will be updating it on top of that in the campaign.
And if we are making the same argument that since mm isnt part of the 60 for the campaign, what about games with no mm that are still 60 and not 30? Its still on the same spectrum just the opposite side of it.
Besides if someone is that desperate to play halos campaign wothout spending 60, just get it on game pass

Why don’t you want the campaign to be cheaper so as to be more accessible. But then you seem to like the idea of a free to play multiplayer? Such a contradiction…

You wanna know what is really contradicting?
That you want the game to be cheaper altough you’ll be able to play H:I day one for free w/ the Game Pass anyways.
There’s no way for a game to be more accessible than being included in the GP from day one, for a matter of fact.

-
ill buy halo reguardless if its 30, 60 or even 70 if price kicks kick in next gen. I have game pass ultimate, i dont gotta spend a cent on the game directly and i still plan to pay full price for it to support the game. Literally everyone has the option to either pay for it, or have game pass and get it way the hell cheaper.
-
its halo mm. Id happily buy it i even if it was a seperste $60 product.
-
i never said how i feel about f2p or mm, only asked if they had announced mt a part of the mm side of the game. The moment they announced the mm to be f2p ive been slightly cautious and i just wanna know how badly they plan to implement mt if they are there and how intrusive they are.
-
games have been $60 standard since 2006, people know this and expect it.
-
games have cut content from the 60 price tag numerous times yet we still get charge 60. What makes halo so special that it deserves to have special treatment? It doesnt.

Which in September of 2009 was about 66 us dollars for Spain (bummer). I’m talking about US it was 60 and 100 for special edition

I also talk about the release date price. Was the Halo 3 ODST special edition the one that came with a controller?

Yes. That was around $100 USD if I recall correctly.

> Yes. That was around $100 USD if I recall correctly.
Effectively, it was the one I bought. What good memories I have of that time.
They could charge 70 and I would buy it, because I want to support the game. Also I realize that making blockbuster games these days is insanely expensive.
HOWEVER, I think 40 is more reasonable. Especially if there is less microtransactions.
May I remind everyone reading this that the campaign is supposedly bigger than 4 and 5 put together! And due to the cost of making games and inflation, future games as a whole might cost $70.

Inflation means nothing because every year there’s a bigger gaming audience.
More people play games today then they did a few years ago. Which means most games these days sell much more copies then they could ever hope to sell 5 or more years ago by a large percentage. Hence the whole inflation argument is void.
And every year Microsoft break records in regards to revenue at their investor meetings.
None of these companies are struggling for money. Instead they are overflowing with it; case in point.
PS. Most games now have most of their sales via digital game sales. Which means less costs associated with physical manufacturing, shipping and no attached retail stores taxes. Facts and Logic my friend.

If this is the route they wanna take I’ll beat the campaign at my brother’s house. Campaign doesn’t drive a game for months and years for me. Multiplayer it is. If its Halo anyway.

Yep the release date price was $60. With the controller $100

Maybe. But the campaign was the aspect that gave substance and atmosphere to the Halo games. It’s the core of Halo so to speak.

And every year there is more choices and chances to not have that customer buy that game. Plus Xbox and Microsoft are two different things. Just because Microsoft makes tons of money dosn’t mean Xbox isn’t falling in sales or loosing money.

Um… Xbox is Microsoft. And this year Microsoft made record earnings.

Microsoft owns them, but they do not share money. They have two different leaders. Or at least I believe they don’t share money? Look Microsoft a few years ago almost shut down Xbox, because it wasn’t seeing the money returns that they wanted from them. Or growth, ether way it wasn’t good.
Also both Sony and Xbox have seen declined sales of their consoles compared to some of the older models. I’m hoping both can do really well this generation
