I think infinite is trash too, but its probably still more content than odst. Remember odst was an expansion and story wasnt that long though it did have firefight and 3 new mp maps

Not to mention is there any point in getting the campaign right away when you know that they already have all this content that they won’t be adding when the game launches and it will be releasing over the course of the next few years or more. In a way I almost feel like they’re releasing the new campaign in episodes. Episode 1 is when the game launches. Episode 2 will be 6 months later when the first campaign DLC drops. Episode 3 will be campaign DLC 6 months after that and so on… At least that’s the vibe I’m getting from them.

That seems like a pretty damn good deal to me and more than a lot of games have today. Not to mention you could just buy the multiplayer maps for Halo 3 for a lot less if you wanted.
Odst was 60 new 100 with the odst controller. Lot less content then they at least think they have in infinite. Bad infinite Graphics aside

What country are you in? I definitely did not pay $60 new for ODST when I bought it here in Canada
Edit, Now that I think about it you might be right It was quite a while ago…I don’t know lol
Games that are maybe a 7 hour campaign and nothing else with a few years of development are still 60, why would something like this be cheaper?
Hell this still looks better than most of the junk ea puts out(i like their IPs, but they have fed up everything so far they’ve done for years) and they still charge 60 for things incredibly broken.
I see no reason 343 should have to charge 30. They still put in the manpower into he game reguardless mm being f2p.

I would assume the full game at full price will also have bonuses to multiplayer. Maybe armor sets? Battle pass is free for first season? Usually if a game launches with F2P multiplayer they give you an incentive to buy the full game.
We are not paying for the multiplayer. So it should be presumed that will be taken into consideration for the pricing of the campaign.
Realistically multiplayer is half of the Halo package for any Halo game. So campaign should be half the price of what a full priced product would cost. Aka $30 USD.
Unless 343 hand on their heart attest to Halo: Infinite’s campaign ‘quality’ and length and replayability to justify a $60 USD price on its own. The July gameplay reveal has me doubtful in regards to the quality aspect of the campaign.

How can ODST be "objectively better and more complete" if all you have nothing seen from H:I apart from an eight minute demo?
Your claim is nothing but subjective.

Much as I despise EA atleast their games always look visually pleasing.
Also Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was a very high quality product.

I believe he is inferring that the gameplay shown looked trashy. Of which in my opinion it did.
And highly likely the game launches with modes like Forge or a Firefight mode missing at launch.

Your first sentence is a subjective impression as well and both of your claims in your second sentence are merely speculation,
based on … nothing really, since 343i hasn’t neither confirmed nor denied anything apart from confirming that campaign and MP will be released simultanously.
There were no official comments, no hints, no clues, no leaks, anything, to assume Forge and/or Firefight or something similar
being not included day one.
So my question still stands, why should H:I be cheaper than ODST based on only eight (!) minutes of demo gameplay?

They really didnt have any say in the making if that game, so i technically dont count it. They liked what reapwn was already doing and let them continue, but with star wars. Though it does seem EA learned, I hope!
And yeah they are visually appealing but there are issues with them every time to the point i hardly finish what few ea games i do borrow from my friend.
And with as broken as they are and short(ish), they are still charging 60. Thats kinda my point. Halo already sounds like its a lot longer, and bigger. And hopefully less issues. Each 343 release seems to have less issues rather than more. They do seem make some weird decisions though every time but, meh.
I just really dont see the argument in any way for halo infinite to be not 60. Or 70 if they do a price hike.
My 2 cents

Because half the product (multiplayer) is F2P.

On the other hand ODST also had no MP, no Forge and just a short campaign.
IMO the amount of content is pretty similar if not identical based on what we currently know,
so it is just logical to assume that H:I will cost just as much,
other factors like inflation, way bigger production cost et cetera not taken into consideration.

so was gta and red dead online yet we had to pay 60 for both of those games at launch. Heck i still see gta5 at 60, and they released after the fact

Halo 3: ODST for me in Australia at launch was not full priced…

Their campaigns are literally massive. Hence worth it.
Even to this day in comparison to GTA 5 and RDR2 open world campaigns Halo: Infinite looks like low tier amatuer hour.

The argument here though isnt based on quality or quantity of said content, of which you do bring up an irrefutable point! Those games had a ton of quality and quantitiy(in some cases too much imo) to them.
The argument being presented is “part of the game is f2p so the other part should be cheaper” When other games that have done exactly that with campaign and mm, the games have still been full price reguardless. That is the argument when we historically have examples of that not happening.

If 343 have gone the greed route like EA and others then yes. It will be full priced.
However considering the fact that the free to play multiplayer will have microtransactions. These of which will undoubtedly make 343 a lot of easy money. Realistically there’s no actual need to have the campaign full priced.
