Halo Infinite Campaign Price - $30?

If multiplayer is free-to-play, will they charge $30 for the campaign? It should be $30…

Yeah, that’s not how that works.

30$/40€ is a good price. In my opinion it will cost 45€.

That would be fair, especially considering the state we saw it in. I highly doubt it though.

Sadly, you are right.

I personally would prefer £45 (UK fan here) since it is only the campaign. But either way I am going to get any collectors edition if there will be any.

Campaign can be worth the 60$ if it’s very good in quality and has a decent playthrough time (without unnecessary grinding or “collectables”, that stuff doesn’t justify a price to me). I personally don’t see it being that big and I know 343s track record with a campaign anyway, I’m pessimistic they can justify a 60$ campaign by itself but we’ll see.

lol nope

I still don’t fully know what F2P actually means. Are we going to get the full multiplayer experience as a free download, or only a portion of it?

Regardless i still expect the price of infinite to be $80. This is the game for the next 10 years so there will be a lot of value for the price.

This campaign is larger than Halo 4 and 5 combined. I think the sheer amount of content will justify it remaining $60.

Odst was 60

ODST was objectively better and more complete than what was shown for Infinite but value is based more on opinions anyway. What i saw from Infinite looked like a $30 Gamepass game. In my irrelevant opinion.

It definitely shouldn’t be full price that’s for sure!!

If it is I think they’re going to get some backlash. Not to mention is there any point in getting the campaign right away when you know that they already have all this content that they won’t be adding when the game launches and it will be releasing over the course of the next few years or more. In a way I almost feel like they’re releasing the new campaign in episodes. Episode 1 is when the game launches. Episode 2 will be 6 months later when the first campaign DLC drops. Episode 3 will be campaign DLC 6 months after that and so on… At least that’s the vibe I’m getting from them.

You might as well wait until the whole bloody thing is done then buy it.

ODST wasn’t $60 when I bought it brand new way back when. Up in Canada I think it was 40ish or so dollars. But you were buying a story a firefight mode and a whole bunch of Halo 3 multiplayer maps. That seems like a pretty damn good deal to me and more than a lot of games have today. Not to mention you could just buy the multiplayer maps for Halo 3 for a lot less if you wanted.

That’s really intriguing: is that confirmed? If so, combined with 4-player co-op and free access for Game Pass subs, I could see that being a blast for my friends and I to return on a regular basis to the next season of our group Halo adventure.

No it’s just the impression I’m getting. No one has said anything. I mean, I treat the game launch as the first episode per se and they’ve said they’re going to support the game over the next 10 years so I’m assuming since it’s open world there’s going to be some campaign DLC in there so I just got the impression that the whole story isn’t going to be released right off the bat.

Again, this is just my impression in a theory nothing’s been concrete nor am I trying to start any kind of rumor

It’s a good observation though: that long tail of support must include story extensions like Destiny and other games-as-service.

I think theres no way its under 60. Especially with that big budget.

I think we’re remembering 4,5 differently…Halo 4/5 was very linear and killed any freedom to explore. If it’s double then it’s probably as big as Halo 1/2 maybe.

In Europe maybe €60,00

I was just going off of 343’s marketing. We can only speculate on its true size.
