Halo Infinite Campaign Part II. Is coming for 2023?

When does the next chapter of the campaign come out? Although I play a lot of multi F2P I love the Campaign and it is my favorite mode, I hope they include rain, snow, deserts and more variety in a larger map. I guess it would be the same map but enlarged? I expect a great story. When would it arrive? I understand that there are things to fix in the multi and in the base campaign but it would be desirable to start knowing things to get excited.

Are they going to make a DLC? I want to kill Atriox that scum!

Yeah it will be around 2023 by the time we get news of a DLC campaign

I feel like there is just no way this game will survive for me if that’s how long it takes. After all this hype about the game as a live service, I would really like to see smaller campaign updates with each season. Barring that, at the bare minimum I would like to see an additional campaign each year. Without the “making a new game engine” excuse, it is a pretty reasonable expectation. Look at Far Cry, for example. They dump out a brand new game every single year, and manage to create a full open world. With this new campaign format from infinite, they should be able to piece together a new biome and a couple dozen more side missions.

And more diversity and more Spartan’s Assassins! (One grrat idea for one DLC, Halo Infinity: Spartan’s Assassins. SA specials hehe).

I think that is posible Halo Infinity Campaign Part II in 2023!

You’re hallucinating if you think we’ll get campaign content every season. We’ll be lucky to get something every year. I think it’s more realistic to assume we’d get a big story expansion every 3 years if their whole “10 year plan” shakes out.

Bring back SPARTAN OPS!

Halo 4 was not only a great game with a huge campaign, it had Spartan Ops that released like episodes on Netflix. It expanded the story of Jul M’dama and Dr Halsey.

Make it happen 343!

The main H4 campaign was fine, but SpOps was just awful. If anything they should just follow similar trends like expansions in Destiny.

Although I hope this isn’t true, I expect a DLC coming out around Halloween that is based on the flood, which comes with Infection, Halloween/Flood themed cosmetics, and other Flood gamemodes.
I hope that isn’t true though because I want Infection sooo bad

Although I didn’t really love the characters of story of Spartan ops…. NOTHING was cooler than logging in every weekend to play a new part of the story. I absolutely loved that and would love to see infinite do something similar.

However- with what we now know about the state of this game leading up to release… I don’t think 343 has any more story content to give us at this point. Not for a long while. 2024 maybe

This game will not last 10 years. It’s struggling already…

Like Destiny?

Destiny is a horrible game and the story has so many plot holes that never get explained. Destiny pushed out DLC that cost an arm and a leg and now look where it is, free on game pass!

To be fair Halo is equally full of plot holes and both are F2P regardless of gamepass. I’d rather 343 attempt a fully fledged continuation of the story than half -Yoink!- it like Spartan ops.

Spartan Ops was a failure. They’ll sooner remove sprint before they bring back SpOps.

I guess I just don’t see the value of the 10 year plan then? With Bungie we had a brand new game every three years. Comparatively, an expansion every three years sounds pretty weak. I think that to justify being a “live service” game, they would need to release a campaign at least once a year

I’m not sure about this. If it’s a major dlc right after the games launch I’d be confused and wondering why this wasn’t part of the main game and I have zero confidence that an expansion will be much better due to how little time they would have had to do it.

I agree! I just don’t think 343 is capable enough of managed well enough tbh

Why was it a failure in your opinion?

Let me put this into perspective. They not only had huge hopes for it (Season 2 was planned, they wanted it to last for years) but it simply wasn’t a very good mode. If you played it with a full squad (I wanna say it was 6 players for some reason? ) it was a pretty cool little mode, but they encouraged players to play it solo (stupid achievement) and because everything was designed with Co-op in mind it hurt its image in my mind to a lot of people.

The story itself was cool, but the execution was mediocre at best. They just reused tons of stuff from Campaign/MP and although the story itself was cool because there is such a gap episode to episode it was hard for people to follow what was going on.

Regardless, if this were some extremely popular mode there would be some reasoning behind it, but I would venture a guess it was even less popular than Firefight so I just can’t see it anyway else.

Yeah I’m not saying they should bring it back but an episodic weekly campaign DLC on zeta halo would be tons of fun IMO.
