Halo Infinite Campaign needs Selectable Missions after beating them or after beating the campaign

After hearing multiple reviewers state you cannot select mission after beating them is a bit of red flag there. Other Halos have had this and Infinite being open world shouldn’t change that.

Going through and playing your favorite missions is standard every Halo has had and helps with replicability. Having us start a new file/game to just to replay the missions honestly hurts replayablity. If my favorite mission is towards the end I dont want to play the story again for 8 hours just to do so.

If youre worried about equipment why not just give equipment you think they should have at that point of the campaign story. Lets say for example your one mission 8 and by then you should have grapple, shot, threat sensor, drop wall. Give the players that equipment and for the upgrade modules just give them the upgrades they’ve unlocked already after going through the main campaign.

Once they complete the mission the it ends and they are back at the selector and if people want to explore to look for more bases and upgrades give us a separate free roam at the end of the campaign.

My 6 year loves playing the second half of the last mission on Halo 3 because he can drive the warthog and laugh/ get worked about making it in time. If infinite does have a mission selector it’ll be hard to just play his favorite part.

those reviewers also stated they were playing a review copy of the game. Those always tend to be a bit different I’m going to guess that they couldn’t because it was a review copy but the full game will allow us to replay. 5hpugh given 343s current track record, I wouldnot put it past them to mix up and put that review copy as the live version.

That would be a major bummer if there is no mission select. I guess we will see come 12/8

Yes. Mission select missing will severely hurt the replayability of the campaign imo. I’m no dev but i don’t see why they couldn’t give us a canned start to any mission? Put us 100 meters from the mission start point and give us whatever eqp. The average player would have at that point in the campaign and let us play it.

I think this feature should unlock after a full a-z play through

I just don’t see why they couldn’t do what you said with about 100m from the start. Its mind boggling honestly.

I hope youre right abut the review copies but I have feeling what they got is what we’ll get.

Hell, have fun with it… Have challenges where they start you with random equipment at the beginning of a level.

Could make a skull for that.

From The Verge:

Halo Infinite’s campaign launches on Wednesday, but after your first trip through the story, you won’t be able to replay missions without starting all the way over, [Microsoft confirmed to Polygon ] It’s a significant omission, since it means you won’t be able to get collectibles you miss the first time around. It also means Infinite is the first Halo game without a way to go back and easily replay a chapter. That might not always be the case, though, as developer 343 Industries wants to add the feature down the line, the studio told The Verge . "We haven’t announced a date but that is being worked on,” 343 Industries associate creative director Paul Crocker said in an interview. We want to have replay that works well, and when you have a more open game, it gets a lot trickier,” he said. “So we made a decision to improve the quality of the single-player campaign to ensure that, as a foundation, that it’s as strong as it possibly could be so that we could then add the other features back in.”

Would have included the hyperlink to the article, but apparently I’m too new here or something to post links.

Anyhow, for someone like me who exclusively plays the campaign, and enjoys occasional speedrunning, I don’t like not having it to start with, but at least it seems it will be patched in eventually. In any event, can’t wait for tomorrow!
