been talking to dev thru my support ticket, even told them what is causing this issue and how we have a work around to avoid corrupting their save… all i was told was that it was an issue with gamepass and the xbox app. nothing more since that update and that was 2 days ago
Same thing happened to me after crashing to desktop after beating the 2nd last mission. Beyond infuriating. Just lending my voice and hopes it gets more traction.
Same issue, has anyone figured out how to resolve this? I am at the second boss (invisible sword guy) and now i cannot load the campaign as stated in the OP. Does the countdown then resets and never loads the game. Really frustrating and I don’t want to restart all over again.
I’ve still got issues - why is this so difficult to resolve. I always enjoy playing a campaign before looking at other aspects of a game . This is beyond a joke now. WHY CANT I RESUME MY CAMPAIGN!!!

Same here. Got to the guy with the super blade. Ended play. When I went to resume the next day got countdown and the nothing. Opened ticket but they said to try a new game, finish first mission, and then try to resume my original game. That didn’t work. I continued playing my new game for about 7 hours total over a few days. Went to resume today and after the countdown I was presented with a flickering landscape. With no master chief, bad guys, ability to move around. Wtf.
Same Issue, hasn’t worked since I bought the game a couple of days ago. In an effort to find a common thread with all of us experiencing these issues, here’s my setup:

I’ve got the same issue. I’m very far into the campaign, just defeated escharum before the game crashed and when I restarted, the campaign won’t resume. It just counts down from 3 then stops.
Same issue here playing on Xbox series X.
Having this issue too on Series X. Last night I logged on briefly and after a few hours into campaign I hit Continue and it was like a cam view I was stuck in. I could pan the camera as if I was in photo mode. I restarted game and console. Now I hit Continue and it goes 3,2,1 and nothing happens. What a shame, was enjoying the game and going to uninstall if it’s not fixed soon. I’m not restarting out of principle.
Have the same issue. Was playing on PC via Xbox app and I melee’d a grunt and fell through the map. Quit out and couldn’t reload they campaign. Went to my XSX and tried and also cannot load the campaign. I’m on the last level, with all upgrades, fobs, outposts and HVTs completed. It’s a very depressing late Xmas gift.
Same problem on PC now. Played last night with no problems, but today I can’t continue. I’m about half way through the campaign and really don’t want to start over again. I hope there’s a fix for this.
I had this same issue a week or so ago. Going to AMD’s (in my case) website to download the latest graphics card drivers and do a fresh install of it fixed the issue for me.
So I’ve been messaging the representative on my ticket recently and he advised me there is still no fix for this, but urged me to keep putting in help tickets. I’d assume since this is effecting such a small percentage that for it to get visibility it needs a large amount of traction. So what I’m asking is if we all keep submitting tickets maybe they will help sooner rather then later!

I guess I’m just going to stop playing the campaign? I’d grudgingly start a new game but am afraid the same thing will just happen again. At least I got it via Game Pass so I’m not out $60.
So what is the commonality between all of us who have the issue? It seems we all play via game pass on PC or xbox. So is it an issue with game pass cloud saves? I’m also playing on game pass on Series x. Not sure what else I can add.
I have the issue on PC as well, last time it loaded I had accidentally plugged in 2 controllers to the pc and Master Chief kept dying automatically when the game was loaded again and again. After that there’s the 3 second countdown when I try to continue campaign and then nothing. Has anyone else plugged in 2 controllers and gotten this issue? Adding here… I was playing on series x, not on gamepass, but standalone purchase of halo infinite. I’ve been impacted twice by the bug and thinking back I do believe it happened when I switched to the second controller due to low battery level on the controller I usually use. I’m going to start over and be sure to stick with my primary controller. I’ll report back my findings.
YES. I was curious to see how local Multiplayer worked with Halo on my xbox. I think I’ve had the bug since I connected the 2nd controller too… I never played locally with 2 controllers because of this bug. Its like the game doesn’t like the ‘guest’ account or something. Even though I’ve removed 2nd controller, restarted game and console… Etc.
I’m playing on PC via Game Pass, but confirmed the issue also happens with my save if I try to play via xcloud (er, Xbox Cloud Gaming). So it seems like an issue with the save file.
That said, I also came across this issue after introducing a second controller. I got an Elite 2 controller for Christmas and only ran into this issue after I started using it.
