Will we hear something about it for this years E3 or later on ?
We’ve already heard about it: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/our-journey-begins
> In the future, you will be able to join early flighting programs that will let members of the community play the game with us, and give direct feedback, much like the current Insider flighting program for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It will take some time for us to be ready to kick those flighting events off, but when we do they will start small and grow along the way.
I would not expect a beta until the end of this year or sometime next year. Apparently they have ambitious plans for the game, and so I don’t see it releasing before late 2019.
Man, i’m so excited for this ! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for all of us !

That’s more of a private beta and I believe the OP means a public beta that everyone can play. OP, they’ve said they will have betas for all future titles and the fact that a beta is a lot of the times just advertising to hype up a game, there’s good reason to believe we will have a public beta somewhere closer to launch.
Since the MCC has its insider program and Halo 5 had it’s preliminary beta exclusive only to those that bought the MCC, I personally hope Halo Infinite’s Beta will be public to everybody that at least has a Xbl Gold membership. That is what I would consider “public”, since the Halo: Reach beta was also tied to Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3’s beta (third phase) was tied to Crackdown.
However…
I can’t lie when I say that if they tied the beta to the upcoming Crackdown 3, that would be a good incentive to get the game (much like the original crackdown). Not to mention it’d be a really nice nostalgic throwback.

I think they tie betas to certain games or communities because then they’ll get a better response out of actual Halo fans who have played the series and know if new elements work or not. Not saying that new people can’t try it but if someone who plays COD played it they probably wouldn’t give the best feedback on what should be fixed or what’s good/bad. There is also a marketing scheme of course but I do think the main reason is to better the feedback for the game. Plus if they do flights like they’re doing for Halo MCC then it will be basically public because the insider program is free to sign up.

Anyone can join the Insiders Program, I don’t think Infinite flights will be as locked down as MCC - at that, MCC flights are opening up to more and more players testing progresses
I wouldn’t expect the beta until 2019.

I guess I’m looking at it the same way I viewed Destiny 2’s beta as well as the Halo Wars 2 beta. They were fully public and easy to download for anybody with a Gold membership, and it worked in a really good way (even if the finished games received criticism). Does that mean Halo should only be given feedback by fans of the series? Absolutely not. I’m trying to view this from the eyes of somebody that doesn’t normally play Halo. It’s safe to assume that the average Xbox consumer, including COD players, know that Halo is an FPS with arena combat and BTB multiplayer at it’s core and a sci-fi, out-of-this-world Campaign/Storyline (with Forge and Firefight being somewhat newly added albeit important elements, but I wouldn’t expect somebody who doesn’t play Halo to know that). That being said, you’re argument precludes the possibility that a person that’s used to a certain franchise will try the beta and give critical feedback in an ignorant state because it’s not like the franchise their used to. That is not a good assumption to make. The average consumer is wiser than that and companies that have had long-lasting franchises are [usually] good at knowing when a consumer hasn’t played their games before. Destiny 2, for all the criticism it’s received, was never criticized for not being “Halo” or “COD” enough during its public beta and they only had one game in the new franchise under their belt before that.
But I digress, it would still be better to make the beta public and give those who passed on more recent Halo titles an entrance back into the franchise.
We can expect to see an announcement trailer for the MP Beta sometime after this summer, since that’s how it was for Halo 5 Guardians. Except I’m hoping for this beta to last about a month or two since Halo Infinite’s multiplayer won’t be releasing until 2020

I wouldn’t expect something like this until early next year year. Tech demo shows a good amount of work and promise, but it sounds like they still have a way to go yet

It’s not really ignorant it’s just common sense. I said that anyone CAN play the beta. I’m just saying Halo fans are usually targeted more because they have history with the game. Let’s say I never played COD and played Halo a lot. If I tried the beta and there were things that I think they should improve based on my experience with Halo or an other FPS that could in a way change something that a long time fan loved. Does it mean that this will always happen? No of course not. I work in retail a lot of people have different views on certain products and some of the wish games were more or less similar. That’s why I said betas for Halo games or any game for that matter are usually tied to a game within that same franchise unless it is new. This helps the developers get more feedback from people who play the game more than someone who just recently started playing. Why do you think 343I has pro Halo gamers helping develop future Halo games multiplayer? Because they gave more experience with the game.
I hope we get some sort of cool armor if you participate in the beta.
Probably next year for beta
Hoping they do a beta, have to see how the engine is and maybe some beta exclusives?
I’m thinking they may do a beta in Early to Mid 2019.
When is halo beta coming out ?

I don’t think that’s actually true because that leak was kind of a long time ago and I doubt 343 would release halo infinite without multiplayer at launch because people were very angry about halo 5 not having lots of things at launch.

It hasn’t been announced and likely won’t be for a while. Worth reading the other comments in this thread
