When 343 is ready to release the beta for halo infinite I hope we can download it from the xbox store and it does not require already purchasing halo mcc. It can be included into the mcc for easy access, but I think it will be smart it they also release it by itself so people who don’t have access to the mcc or if they’re trying halo for the first time they can get it from the xbox store and bring halo back to its glory days.
I think it’s fair to have purchased a previous Halo game in order to experience a beta, but if 343 wants other players have a chance to experience the game, then they should make it open. With Call of Duty, you need to pre order the game in order to participate in its beta. It seems kinda of dumb, because your pre-ordering a game and getting access to its beta, why not just give us the game right there. I would not be happy if 343 goes this route with betas. 343 probably will makes us do something in order to play Infinite’s beta (assuming there is one).
I don’t think Infinite’s beta will be tied to MCC at all. Yes, they said they’ll be doing flights like they did with MCC Insider, but that doesn’t mean flights for Infinite will be distributed through MCC Insider. They’ll probably make a separate app for Infinite flights. I wouldn’t be surprised if early flights had conditions such as having owned/played Halo MCC or Halo 5, but I also would expect that later flights would be open to the more general public.
They might do an open beta near release to stress test the servers, I know other games have done that. It’s a good way to give everybody a taste to see if they want the game or not and a good way to help avoid launch server issues.

There’s nothing available for yet, but I believe that 343 will be sharing more details about the flighting program at some point next year

But isn’t the insider program closed? Last I heard they weren’t accepting any new participants.
I do believe it will be added in MCC because they are putting so much work into MCC it could be added just like h5 was quick easy add on. I know that means buying the game but if you own game to pass it’s free. with the 9.99 subscription

We’ll know more about how we can participate once 343 are ready to share those details, right now we don’t know how or when things will happen. Being an Insider is probably a good idea though, get used to the tools and how feedback works on the X1
