Halo infinite beta a disappointment

I played the beta on Friday for halo infinite and yet again 343 is disappointing. Enemy’s now glow red wtf? Assassinations are gone and so is ground pound and thrusters… I can live without thrusters but assassinations were awesome. I’ve been a fan since halo ce first came out don’t get me wrong graphics look alright but weapons lack oomph the previous games had and taking out the ground pound and assassinations is just a major let down and of course now 343 is jumping on the band wagon to monopolize micro transactions as there is now a battle pass -.- if I wanted to play cod or fortnite I would just play those

There are microtransactions because the multiplayer will be free to play on release.

But the micro transactions are not essential as there is a free BP and a paid one

My point is why is there a battle pass in the first place

Because its going to be free to play and they need a way to generate revenue not only to make money but to be able to continue supporting the game. How do you think games like Destiny, Path of Exile, Guild Wars 2, etc are able to continue to operate and provide new content? I’m fine with microtransactions as long as they aren’t any type of pay to win mechanics. You don’t have to pay for anything and that’s fine. Some people want to support the developers of free to play games so the game can continue to become better.

Several reasons.
-free MP
-monetization
-Player investment
-10 year game

Everything pretty much going hand in hand.

Which is one of the reason why halo has lost most of its original fans not all but most

And I’m fine with micro transactions for like the did in halo 5 recs but I’m not ok with a battle pass where if I pay a fee every month I get more. trust me I get the reason why to do it just dissapointing to see that with every lvl people will get extra cosmetics or possibly warzone type recs

What do you mean? How has it lost most of its original fans…if this is the first time we’re going to have a battle pass, armor coatings, etc? Kinda lost me there. Did you mean to say something else?

Halo lost some of it’s fan base for many reasons. There is no 1 single reason it happened. For some it was the change in gameplay…hell…some immediately hated halo 3 and said halo 2 was the best…some immediately hated ho 2 and said CE was the best…this goes ALL the way up to now…salty fans who just want their original baby back…but it’s 2021…you can’t relive the same experiences you had back then. It’s impossible.

Then there are players who left because of the campaigns. Players who left because of lack of playlists in 5, no social or casual experiences to be had…etc etc.

But a battle pass? Armor coatings? Dude these are brand new to halo. Not to gaming…but to halo…this is also the first time you can play the multiplayer for free…not buying the actual game…

So again…how is it possible for these “new to halo” features…the reasons for fans leaving?..

Sorry was stoned earlier not sure what I was trying to say there lmao but your right there’s many reasons I guess what I was trying to say is them being like every other game instead of their own thing will lose them more fans when infinite releases but all and all really the micro transactions and the battle pass arnt the main reason for this post… it was meant to be about the red glow around your enemy’s and assassinations being removed

Well the red glow was to show the armor coating and not having forced color like previous titles. assassinations were removed to be thought about how to integrate them better into the game.

No one cares about microtransactions. Buying stuff from the store will NOT make you better at the game. If people want to waste money on cosmetics, who cares.

Halo lost most of it’s original fans because it came out 20 years ago, they don’t play games anymore…

where have you been?
The battle pass is here to stay, and 343i said it is a no pay to win, so hope remains like that.
Halo infinite is nowhere near fornite or CoD, hope remains like that
Original fans (CE, H2, H3) we like this Halo, feels more original with just enough innovation.
There is no way 343i can make every gamer/fan happy, a lot of fans didn’t like the ground pound and thrusters, U like them, one of the few. btw thruster will be in-game

We need to keep posting feedback as the game evolves, keeping in mind that not everything is possible, maybe in custom games we can get ground pound and other things.
there’s a lot of concerns but overall I like the game, hope evolves in the right way, videogames should be fun.
