That’s great that you think they are fun. I invite you to continue to play those games.
And Halo has already proven that it’s games can last 10 years without one. Look at Reach and 3, generally acclaimed as the most popular Halo games and they’re still kicking as the 360 sails it servers away.
You haven’t played many battle royale games if you really think that.
Most of them have a solo mode, but there is also a mode similar to multi-team.
The gameplay, weapons and potential environments are already unique enough for it, but they could add allies, enemies, vehicles (the Mongoose and Razorback would be more helpful) and let players who die choose to go into an area where they can socialize.
The battle royales in those games wouldn’t be the same.
They also have Firefight and other modes.
I’m sure Infinite will have those as well, and I don’t think Halo wouldn’t last without a battle royale mode, but it would be nice to have some more variety.
I think Infinite could work with a Battle Royale mode.
I think a lot of people are bitter because “But millenials!”, and hate stuff because it is a newer concept more than anything.
The ppl who find grapple hooks and BRs are gonna be on top of the world.
