Honestly we don’t know what Halo Infinite is going to bring us but after seeing the Mega Construx collaboration 343 could be onto something special.
One of the toy figures was a red spartan that resembles a Halo 3 and Reach art-style in my opinion. The helmet reminds me of Halo Reach but the rest of the armor looks like Halo 3’s style with a twist. I like it.
What is your favourite armor? I like the original Recon Armor from Halo 3.
Mine it’s reach recon helmet, cqc left shoulder, Mark 6 right one and penetration torso. But only for female spartans. I’ m not used to play with a male spartan
My favourite armor is noble six armor (Mark V B).
I think Recon is the most consistently well designed armor set in the history of the series. It’s not as iconic or cool in a lot of ways as the Mk.V and VI, but it’s design across GEN1 and GEN2 both feel cool and consistent, unlike Mk.V and VI.

I don’t really like the way 343 changed it. The original recon armor is the best!

I like the Reach variant the best of all, so I do think Bungie nailed it with that. But, and this is a major exception to a general rule for me, I actually do like the H4-H5 Recon design (helmet, mostly) more than the original H3 design. It’s just my personal opinion, but I think the H4-5 Recon helmet was the perfect amount of “looks more advanced” without stepping into tryhard overdesigned territory like so many other new and returning helmets, or looking like a janky off-kilter version of itself like the GEN2 Mk.IV, Mk.V, and Mk.VI. The rest of the armor for the Recon design in H4 and 5 doesn’t look terrible, but it is a little strange and doesn’t seem to trace very easily to the design language of former Recon variants from Reach and H3.
Again, that’s just my personal opinion. I’m guessing the Infinite version will look more like Reach’s, which is again something I’d be grateful for.
My favorite has always been the Mk IV gen 1 from the Halo Wars 2 cutscenes, and before that Halo Wars.
Hope that Infinite comes up with something sick looking for the Mk IV gen 3 that’s somewhat along the lines of the Halo Wars cutscenes.
In infinite I hope to see better Hell jumper armor, h5’ s isn’t that good, The only part i like it’ s the helmet
The toys are great and a 3 plastic meets reach metal colour pallets with designs from both is kind of my ideal.

See when they brought the new Recon variant in H4 I liked it but the more I look at it I began to hate it, although I think they should keep both to make everyone happy.
The original recon just gives me nostalgia, I will never forget the day I got Recon in H3
