I am worried about the AI in Halo Infinite. The brutes were just mostly standing around and not moving a whole lot, they also don’t have the berserk trait like they have in the other games, where they throw away their weapons and charge at the player if their squad dies or their armor gets destroyed (outside of the 2 m o n k e s in the demo). The Elites are kind of the same. Instead of moving around a lot, going into cover when their shields are down and pushing when Masterchief’s shields are down, they again just kind of stand around and roll a little bit.

If you are talking about the E3 demo, that was purely for a demonstration. You can hardly show everything off with the AI putting up a fight. I mean to say, when it comes down to the AI shooting at me, I’m not exactly going to be focused on the scenery.

Indeed it was just a demo but that was really basic AI, not exactly the impression you want to give your audience and considering that just about 4 months after the demo released would have been the original release date, it is a bit worrying. Without good AI like halo ce had, the game will just be boring.

E3 demos are scripted. The ai , their placement and behaviour , everything is scripted . This might explain the fluid movements by the person who played the demonstrated the demo. The way he played was a clear demonstration of a spartan’s fast paced combat in the field.
Like the others have said it’s a demo to show what infinite looks like so far at a quick glance alongside it being scripted, think of Halo Reach’s demo when the ghost boosts right at kat just so armor lock can be demonstrated. After reading the inside infinite about the player being ambushed by a SPNKR wielding brute (maybe a brute) and maybe a few jackals while they were driving a warthog and the marines dismounting the warthog with the player and following them into the woods and there on kinda brings me a little hope for the a.i. since when was the last time you heard of a non linear scripted ambush in a Halo game
Like others have said, the AI shown in the demo almost certainly were a scripted scene and likely what was shown also was on either normal or easy difficulty to show off other gameplay aspects more easily by not requiring more drawn out fighting. From what was described in the Inside Infinite posts so far the AI have capabilities well beyond what was in that gameplay demo. Hopefully we will see an updated gameplay demo with the changes that have been made since the gameplay reveal soon. It has been almost a year since that gameplay demo was released and I am sure there have been many minor changes made that when combined together make for much better gameplay.

Plus the AI was at least smart enough to be tossing suicide grunts!
the demo was a scripted scene so the AIs were not at their best
