Halo Infinite Advanced Movement

If 343 does get rid of advanced movement in halo infinite how would they explain why it disappeared in the lore?

Edit: I’ve thought that maybe the newer armor design has been malfunctioning and they aren’t going to have thrusters in the armor anymore or something like that.

On the outside chance 343 actually goes full stop on enhanced mobility, I’d be perfectly fine with them saying “There is no lore explanation. We just feel that enhanced mobility is no longer a unique feature of the FPS genre and we want Halo to be unique.” It’s similar to the thought I had about Chief’s armor change between H3 and H4. Instead of trying to bend lore around the change after the fact, I would have preferred “We cherish the legacy of Halo, but wish to make our own mark on the franchise.” That might not have smoothed things over much, but it might have gone over better than the infamous nanotechnology explanation. Of course that is just one person’s opinion, and I know there are plenty out there who quite liked the change.

I am a lore nerd though, so I’ll try my hand at making an explanation:
Gen 3 Mjolnir seeks to incorporate the best of Gen 1 and Gen 2. To that end, Gen 3 is stronger and more protective, like Gen 1, while also being easier to mass produce, like Gen 2. This means having to forego the enhanced movement capabilities of Gen 2 in order to put resources toward making a stronger and more protective suit.
