So is it gonna be funny like Halo Wars 2 car salesman commercials ? How about something epic like the Halo 3 Believe campaign that had you convinced the actors were actually in a war and talking about real events ? Or maybe like Halo 5 and show Chief with a cape and a non existent rivalry between Locke that mislead tons of players?
I’m 100% serious when I say I want to see someone like Lady Gaga in the ad campaign because she’s an amazing artist and fantastic actor. What she would do in it, idk, but I’m sure some great directors and writers could make it happen.
Of if they don’t want to go the weird fantasy route and stick to military, why not bring in some sci fi legends like Sigorney Weaver or William Shatner?
They could even do some Stanley Kubrick style shorts that depict certain characters and locations in the game.
Halo 4 copies halo CE in many regards.
Halo 5 copies halo 2 in many regards.
So I’m assuming Halo Infinite will copy Halo 3, we’ve already seen that with the E3 trailer breakdown.

Would you please care to elaborate ? I’m afraid I don’t see what you mean.

Halo 4 shares the same “story” as Halo CE, since both games have the Master Chief exploring a forerunner artifact (Halo CE = Halo Ring, Halo 4 = Requiem), at some point rescuing humans from a stranded ship (Halo CE = Pillar of Autumn, Halo 4 = Infinity), and stopping a power that can wipe out masses (Halo CE = Halo Ring activating, Halo 4 = Didact’s Ship on Earth).
Halo 5 and Halo 2 aren’t entirely similar like Halo 4 and Halo CE, but share some gameplay mechanics and some plot similarities, such as playing as two different characters with two plots that end up colliding with each other like the Chief and Arbiter’s did during Halo 2.
Now in terms of advertising, I think each Halo did have their own unique method which didn’t necessarily share same traits as its predecessor’s. But what we have seen from Halo Infinite (so far), with the Halo 3 theme playing and the design looking very similar to the Halo 2 / 3 chief design, I can see how some conclude that it is going for a Halo 3 vibe.

Both halo 2 and halo 5 had misleading marketing campaigns. Halo 2 advertise this huge fight to save earth … and you were there for two missions. Halo 5 advertised for hunting Chief and that lasted for one fist fight. Halo 2 and halo 5 had Hunt The Truth and I Love Bees. Even the locations advertised were wrong for both games, halo 2 showed off multi storied cities and we got a generic city and halo 5 showed off cities leveled by the guardians and we saw nothing of that.
whilst h3 starry night trailer was heavily used to inspire the halo infinite reveal trailer as mentioned on the trailer breakdown on the halo YouTube.
Ya but I’m still satisfied with what we got for halo 2. Those two missions on earth were two of the most memorable missions in the halo campaigns imo. I can’t say the same for halo 5. That simple cutscene were they actually fought was the definition of anti climatic.
They said for the E3 Infinite trailer that they wanted to capture a sense of mystery, hope, and Nostalgia, sort of blending Halo CE and 3. They most likely will be sticking to that general tone.
I really really hope they go the H3 route. My favorite one would have to be the believe ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3ZGGIdpfEM. If they could give off similar vibes that did I would love it. I would also like to see another landfall type mini movie.
