Last night, I assembled a box cover for a fan-made project that I came up with, called Halo: Incursion. I won’t paste it here, but I can post the gameplay details that I would include. This won’t be an official project, so don’t get excited over it.
Features
- Set in 2553, about 2-3 months after the end of Halo 3. Campaign would be roughly 5-7 hours long.
- Only one faction to fight against; the Covenant, or at least a rogue group led by a Lekgolo.
- Gameplay would return to the roots of the series and will have H3 movement, gameplay and art design.
- Health would work like the original Halo, ODST and Reach. It won’t be regenerative.
- There would be big sections in the environment for vehicle combat.
- Firefight would be included. Spartans would retain the classic Halo 3 look, but would also be far more customizable then in H3. Elites would also be a possibility.
- Separate disc would contain the full Halo 5: Guardians MP.
Characters

Ben-D279: A surviving Spartan-III from the Human-Covenant War. Following a mission that nearly cost his life, he’s put through procedures that saves him. It also allows him to wear the MJOLNIR Mark VI [GEN 1] armor like the Master Chief did in the closing days of the war. In terms of story, Ben would not be as strong as the Chief, so I’m sort of seeing him as a Noble Six-type character.

The main villain would be a Lekgolo leading a group of remnant Covenant, determined to waging another conflict against humanity.

There would be other characters too, but I’m not entirely sure who.
Locations
The game would begin with a deployment mission to the colony of Talitsa, following reports of possible insurgent activity, which would then be revealed to be the Covenant. The game would then follow to two more locations, namely a secret ONI facility and would then conclude on Installation 02.
This is all I’ve come up with for the time being. I have no intention of making this official, but I wanted to see what you guys thought of this idea. Let me know in the thread!
