Halo in Halo 4?

Ive been thinking and I never seen an actual “halo” in any of the Halo 4 gameplays or trailers…I mean, how can you have Halo without a “Halo”? Has anyone spotted one?

Halo 3ODST and Halo wars are perfect examples.

Halo: Reach
Halo 3: ODST
Halo Wars

They all want a word with you.

As far as we know, there is no Halo ring in Halo 4.

It’s a new trilogy which means there’s a new threat.

Yes, those games didnt have Halos in them but every master cheif halo has. Im just wondering.

In my opinion, the Halo games that don’t have Halos tend to be worse than the ones that do, and I don’t count that tiny glimpse of a Halo at the very end of Reach.

The game should take place on soley on requiem for what we know so far…

So I’d say no.

And just because there is no Halo ring, doesnt make it any less of a halo game. You are aware that Halo 2 was originally going to be strictly on earth and be the last of the series correct? The concept of what makes Halo Halo isnt a visible construct, but rather the overall theme. Mankind, at war, in the 26th century against a collective of aliens. We’ve learned about the flood, forerunners, and precursors.

What makes Halo isnt a Halo ring. But the universe itself.

I see different relations.

Halo Wars, ODST, and Reach were spin-offs. So they don’t have the same storytelling that made the original halo trilogy great.

Reach too!

(Apart from Forge world)

The Haloverse consists of a lot more than just the 12 rings.

Actually, I’m pretty sure they were going to end it on Earth, not make it take place only their. They didn’t have enough time to finish it.

And not by the looks of it. There’s still Requiem, though, and that is Forerunner still.

You don’t need a Halo to be Halo. What matters is the story.

I liked ODST…

There may or may not be a Halo in this.

That’s all I can say.

Well, we are on a Forerunner shield world, so it’s kind of like being on a Halo.

I wish I could tell you. Unfortunately that would be leaking the game

(I’m not confirming its in or not. Though I wish I could)

> Well, we are on a Forerunner shield world, so it’s kind of like being on a Halo.

If I remember correctly, shield worlds were never meant to kill all life in a 25,000 lightyear radius.

That’s not what I meant. Being on a Shield World has the same general atmosphere of a Halo, Foreunner architecture and landforms and such. It’s nothing like being on Earth, on a UNSC frigate, High Charity, Infected High Charity, Reach, etc.

It’s like being on a Halo.

Not certain at this point–it doesn’t seem likely we’ll see any of the rings in this particular installment. However, that doesn’t mean they might not still be relevant to the trilogy. They’re still mentioned in the books, after all… so we might not be completely finished with them.
