In the newest Thor movie they had this grenade that would turn into a black hole and suck everything within a radius into it. I thought this could fit the the halo universe. I feel like this should have been the original forerunner grenade. Anyway what do you think?
I’m not too sure how easy playing next to a singularity absorbing light and slowing down time itself would play out. Aside from the injustifiable physics, it would prove to be very annoying in gameplay if you were getting sucked to the side every once in a while.

They could make it like a sticky grenade where it has to physically stick on you in order to suck you in. And if it doesn’t stick on you, it can work similar to the Pulse Grenade and simply strip down your shields, or it just has no effect on you whatsoever. I would call it the “Slipspace Grenade”.

Love it, OP. It’s just a visual effect… and honestly, the Pulse Grenade looks like it could easily behave that way.
Anyone read the Greg Bear Forerunner novels? The Grenades to teleport enemies into the Glow or some other dimension. Hokey, sure. But fun sci-fi nonetheless!

Its good if know how to use it, its not meant to be a kill grenade unless its in CQC.

But there isn’t a situation where a pulse grenade is better than a frag or plasma. Easy to avoid doesn’t do much damage unless you stand in it. Maybe if they added a slowing effect.

??? Its not meant to do as much damage and act in the same way. Your using it wrong.
Its better at keeping areas blocked for a few seconds causing DPS and there not meant to be placed to harm people as much as they are a blockage. They do damage when you throw it at them to strip of shields etc. once again your using it wrong and presuming its meant to act like other grenades. The only buff it needs is a DPS buff but only ever so slightly since it excels in its purpose.

Lol do you ever choose pulse grenade in your load outs or go out if your way for them? These grenades are not useful at all. Use them properly? No I know how to use them if I wanted to but I don’t because they are not worth using.

If you know how to use them why do you complain about them being weak in 1v1 fights or even clustered CQC fights when they are fit for their purpose.
What is their purpose and use and describe how they are bad at it other than ‘they have low damage’ which isnt meant to be their main purpose or ‘theyre bad’ since thats just makes you seem like you have no idea.

First off according to you they are good for cluttered areas. So it sounds like you wouldn’t even use them in a 1v1 fight. If you are using them in a 1v1 fight you are probably losing most of them. My argument is there is no benefit to using them over frag or plasma. Also how good would you say you are at halo 4? I have never died from anyone using pulse or even backed down because of how weak they are.The amount of shields you lose is very minimal unless you are in the middle which is very easy to avoid.

Wrong in 1v1 they can help strip shields and continuously damage people in a small area along with blocking areas which neither of the other grenades can do. You percieving them as grenades that are meant to be the killing blow when they are not and which you’re being ignorant to.
My K/D is around 1.5 Im usually in the top 2 positions, several perfections and unfriggenbeliveable spanned across the games, I have nearly every weapon complete and have the pulse grenades amongst them. So if you blindly see skill as a factor when it at all is not it wont help you either since Im above highly average but not to the point of godlike or a K/D spammer. Even if your K/D is higher it proves nothing as wpuld skill in this case and anyway if your using pulse grenades wrong then you must be unskillful anyway.

Not really the amount of shields lost by the initial blast if you hit them directly is at least 4/5ths

I never asked you about your KD. It’s no definition of skill. Keep using the pulse grenade but is not as effective as frag or plasma which has been my argument the whole time. Yes my KD is higher because you brought it up and I’m always first place. Also the time it takes for you to throw a nade in 1v1 I can get off 2 br shots. It’s not the best choice in a 1v1.
