Halo ideas : Cinematic mode.

Cinematic mode would be a feature added in to halo that would act as a tool to make Machinima’s more smooth and fluent and easier with realistic like movements from (Example) Cover to cover.

Instead of crouch behind cover to tell viewers of said machinima that he is taking cover “Cinematic mode” would basically snap the character to cover smoothly and have a 3rd person view so the actor can act perfectly. This functionality would mostly be made for making machinimas and why you ask? Well im not finished…

It would have other cool additives to it as well. Could have a very easy lower weapon tool which you Click down on dpad and it would be toggled so if you shoot your gun and after you are done shooting it would go back down or if you click the aim button your gun would raise and after you are done aiming it would go back down, so basically the gun will never fully raise up until you re click the Down on dpad. Another idea would be to walk/run at a certain pace (Changeable in game) so that your character doesn’t look all funky in the scene if you bump your stick or press on it to hard. Would be cool if we could smoothly pick weapons up (Like an animation) but remember this all for only “Cinematic mode”.

There are so many different things that this mode could offer for machinima makers but im not DEMANDING this in any way shape or form only stating that it would make machinima more popular and a whole lot easier.

Lets continue to seek out other ideas.

Ok another thing that would be very interesting to see would be Animation character expressions. What i mean by this is similar to the Animations in Destiny, where you can dance and sit down and point. In halo you could sit down or possible like point or make any type of expressions…

Imagine clicking the menu button on your xbox one controller which would bring up and extra menu for your character right then and there (As seen in gta) You would be able to change the way you walk the way your positioned and the way you crouch or crouch and walk or jump or pretty much making a new character come to life for your machinima… it would make it easier to get you attached to a character as if it were an actual TV series. Also can give a lot of information about a character without exaggerated voice acting.

Ok so now that we’ve gone through a lot of what cinematic mode would be, lets get into thee other ideas that would bring cinematic mode to life.

More props or interactive pieces such as pads you type into or inspecting an object like a crate or a chip (character would kneel down and look at it as if he were inspecting it) Sitting down in the place able chairs or camping stools. Other things like Fire balls or Water falls and water puddles and Fog bubbles and smoke shooting out all these things could be placed inside pieces for more detail in your forge maps for machinimas. Just imagine what i said about sitting in a chair…what if every piece that was in halo’s forge served a purpose to what the piece was called…like the chair…sitting down in it or taking cover on a sandbag or maybe even opening up a crate. Interacting with the natural environment such as Pushing tree limps away when walking rather than simply walking through it or the obvious puddles through water which we already have. \

Another obvious idea would be adding ladders back as a forge piece but fixing the god awful animation from combat evolved and please for the love of god if they ever do bring these back please let us look in any direction without falling off… lol

Ok lets go into theater mode ideas. One idea that should have been in the game would be filters. Ya know the filter from instagram and facebook and pretty much every social media and cell phone has. Saturation, HD, Colorblind and ect. This could possibly just be added into forge for more variety making cool maps but i would be very happy with just filters in theater mode and also bring back some mechanics brought from Black ops 2 theater mode with the camera snapping at a certain from one side of the map to thee other and also segments. So that pretty much does it for this but i have one more thing to say

I do not see this happening nor do i have my hopes up for it at all. This would be a cool idea to do or maybe even releasing a different game for it as well. Lets say if this were to happen in halo 6 there could be a re release of the game titled Halo 6 : Cinematic mode or Machinima mode whatever you feel like calling it and it would pretty much have the list of ideas here and so much more.

Thank you for reading, got anything that i might have missed, feel free to post it here (BTW its 2 am so any misspells are not my fault <3 )

Not likely to happen but a really cool idea.

Cinematic mode would have a lot to offer to the machinima world. Unlikely yes but cool? YES

Sounds an awful lot like gears of war, but I see what you’re saying. It’ll never be a part of Halo though.
