Halo is too full of rich untold stories that can still appear in more than just the books.
Halo Wars/ Halo Wars 2: No Master chief or playing as a lone wolf super soldier, but absolutely brilliant story from a commander and his crews point of view of human covenant war. The gameplay is so diffrent from the shooters that if you like RPGs more than shooters you don’t even have to player the shooters ro understand it and still enjoy it as it’s own series.
Halo 3 ODST: Again not a Spartan but your human part of a elite spec ops team hiding in the dark. Not blowing up giant rings but helping the war effort with stealth and prossision from a smaller point of view of the war. Every little bit helps.
Halo Reach: A super soldier but not a lone wolf. Part of a team and it was a great prequel to the original Halo Combat Evolved. Not the mention the battle was referenced a good few times in the original trilogy and ODST. It was dark and it ended with hope.
Spartan Ops: Not exactly it’s own game but it was still a spin off story from Halo 4. The campaign had its flaws with repeative maps. You we’re part of a Spartan fireteam but it was your fireteam. Your own spartans fitting in the story of Halo 4.
Spartan Assault/ Spartan Strike: only small tablet game but still good fun with a little story involved.
Halo Fireteam Raven: Another fine example of a story within a story. Your not playing as humanities only hope but your small efforts help you get him there.
There’s soo many ideas for campaigns for halo. They could do an Elite or HeadHunter campaign or a sequel to the any above. Just not doing a campaign does not sit right with any halo fan. It’s a big part of it. If they do another halo game with no story it will kill it. Guaranteed.

Infinite is pretty much 343 reacting to all those that complained h5 didn’t have enough chief.

I did like Fireteam Osiris but it did look like they we’re there to take over Master chiefs spot light. I was more excited for blue team to finally apear in a game after all this time but then they turned it into something pretty bad.
Fireteam Osiris could have succeeded if they were part of a DLC story or in their own halo game like Noble team.

you know that noble team in halo reach was more the ground work for the halo CE campaign story with master chief.
then why not do the same thing there have done in halo 2 that you can play on both side’s in the story more.
that for exemple:
that the story from halo 5 legendary ending’s is keeping on by telling on 1 side the story how master chief is going to leave the weapon on zeta halo or gets it in the first place.
and the other side is about the banished more how there have come to zeta halo more.
like how there have found the harbinger and so.
I really like the story of the Arbiter, Voridus and the Pavium brothers.
True HALO is not a work to enjoy Spartan, Spartan, Spartan & Spartan story,
A story on the alien side, a story on the human side, both are diverse.
343 HALO continued to create defective products that lacked richness by forcing the diversity of humankind on it, so it would be fun if you could improve that area.

I mean that’s like any franchise really, there is the cool universe and there are the cool characters that inhabit it. I mean for instance, there is more to Star Wars than Darth Vader, but people love that guy.
With Halo though the main story really revolves around Master Chief and Cortana. There really aren’t that many characters from the main games that show up frequently, are still alive, and that people (outside of the superfans) care about. Halsey? The Arbiter? Some celebrity Spartans like Blue Team or Palmer? There are probably others, and infinite introduced some more.
Now people do like the cool universe and want to play in it, make their own customer Spartans, etc, but after a while people want the main character

Such a good point you have made !
In new storys come new tech and these H3 fans need to get over that and if you cant then go back and play H3 its as simple as that!
H3 needed a new dynamic in the movemnet and 343i knew that and i feel H5 done a great job in imporoving the spartan tech, with that much loved thruster i would also like to add that the ground pound and spartan charge did not work in rank or social but in btb is was a great addition .
The thruster is still a pickup just goes to show how well recieved it was that the H3 fans couldnt just take it out of the game but everyone trying to get rid of that intensity that they cant handle i guess we have allot of peronal agendas flying around and it so important we dont get mixed up and dizzy in all this drama about H5 not being a great game because it was and thats the truth .
