Halo has killstreaks?

From what I seen they are overpowered as hell! Please don’t put the killstreaks in matchmaking, please…And I really hope we get a ranknig system like Halo 3 which was damn near perfect.A credit system makes farming and boosting easier and way more common. In reach no one tries to win anymore because its possible to lose every single match you play and still manage to max out your rank, in Halo 3 you could only level up by winning, plus its not like the pros were facing noobs because of the 1-50 ranks. I’m not going to check back on this topic so what ever you say I wont read, I only came here to complain and hope to help make Halo competitive again.

Killstreaks will be put in MM and we are not getting a good ranking system.

343 aim to please.

Hell yeah we’re getting killstreaks! Do ya like the Needler btw? That’ll be a killstreak in Halo 4, yippee!

Yes, we have a system where getting “unusual” kills will build up points and allow you to call down one of three things, the options being a powerful weapon like the Scattershot or an powerup like overshield. It’s called “Ordinance Drops” and I have no idea what a CoD killstreak entails but the Ordinance system sounds pretty good so far (yes, it does).

And no, there’s not going to be a crappy ranking system like Mr. Killjoy McPessimist up there says. We don’t know anything about the ranking system besides it’s going to be an improvement over both H3 and Reach. Stop spreading rumors.

An ordnance drop is not a Killstreak. It only works like one but its not the overpowered -Yoink- in COD. These drops are just like ordinary power weps you see in regular halo maps and are only there to keep you in the fight for that bit longer. Look at the other Halos, when someone get a sword for example, they dont automatically own the other players, they do get killed as well and sometimes pretty quickly. So relax, these drops are not going to imbalance the game.

If you weren’t a bunch of troglodytes who played 2 (two) games in their entire life, you’d see this is closer in similarity to adrenaline system in UT2K4 than to killstreaks from CoD.

Has anyone seen the speed boost? Good luck winning against that strafe!

If you zoom in on Frankie’s rank in the E3 demo, it showed he had the rank “A-7”. I’m gonna guess that we will see a new ranking system similar to 1-50 but it will now be in groups. For example an “F-1” rank would be like having a 1 in Halo 3, a “C-5” rank would be like 28 or something in Halo 3, and an “A-10” would be like having a 50 in Halo 3.

That sounds interesting.

I’m gonna be honest and say I didn’t really give a flip about rank in H3. Didn’t matter to me how high I was getting, all I saw was numbers: at least in Reach, I could unlock armor and whatnot.

Hopefully that’s what they’ll do: combine the apparent effectiveness of H3’s system and the flare of Reach’s.

Ehh… But wait! That would just be the 1-50 system all over again, except with different names. Allow me to doubt you opinion.

It can sound the same, but be very different in application. We can’t really judge it by the single screenshot.

I am assuming your talking about the Ordnance drops. They are not killstreaks because

  1. They aren’t killstreaks because when you die the Ordnance counter doesn’t reset.

  2. It is only in the Infinity Slayer playlist.

And if your talking about ‘Killing SPREES’ They have been in Halo for a long time.

Hope you found this post useful. Have a nice day.

Personal ordnance drops are only in Infinity Slayer which might not be in ranked (if there are ranked playlists)

Haha! I was just playing the demo of that about 30 minutes ago!!!

I’m getting really sick of this misinformation. First we get people calling “Modifications” “Specializations” and now we get Ordinance Drops called Killstreaks when it’s not even the same damn thing!!!

At least Mods and Specs are in the same game…

They are only in some matchmaking playlists, dont worry, and they arent OP. OP is harriers, nukes and attack dogs. Balanced is halo.

Whoah Whoah Whoah.
It’s like what I said. They are synthetic bonuses. It’s not entirely based upon your kills because you can fill the meter up with assists/being a distraction, and they are bonuses that don’t reset once you die

There. Say it with me…synthetic bonuses

Yes there are killstreaks like the RC-XD and Pavelow. Oh, there’s the UNSC AC-130.

Tell me where they confirmed killstreaks because I only heard of ordanance drops.

You get game changing rewards from getting enough kills. How have so many of managed to convince yourselves that that’s not killstreaks?

Yes Halo 4 has killstreaks, but you’ll never get these fanboys to admit thats what they are. I’m fine with the idea of killstreaks, you should be rewarded in game for doing well, but don’t try to tell me they aren’t killstreaks. They totally are, but now we call them “ordinance drops”

I agree lol, they are basically killstreaks on a much smaller scale.
