Halo has finally been destroyed I

I was hoping someone would get to this point. I loved ODST. Finding a hidden cache with a mongoose to zip around the city, sneaking past baddies, and don’t get me started on the rooftop pelican fight. That was one of my favourite halo moments to date.

Im just going to say this before im the most hated person here. I do not hate wars or odst, but the are low on my favorite Halo games list. And for some reason, I’ve never seen people who like odst that much before this thread. Good thing that game has fans. And in also hearing the voice of the banhammer, because this will also be counted as spam.

not bad games.

Sorry, but this is just completely untrue. The LR was on par with it at long range, and ALL of the automatic weapons had a much faster kill time. If you couldn’t beat a DMR user in close range with an automatic weapon you have no one to blame but yourself. The only loadout weapons that couldn’t beat the DMR regardless of the situation were the BR and carbine.

For everyone who hates Halo 4 should know that the fact that 343 actually gives a -Yoink- and releases a update like this to such a small amount of players shows that they are listening and they do care.

You know, if i remember correctly, wasnt Reach the one hated on the most? When the multiplayer beta has over 1 MILLION people play it, then to have maybe 1 or 2 hundred thousand play it for a while, then lower to less than 100,000 for the rest of its lifespan (pretty much), that shows how many people it turned away. (Not to mention people said it was the worst Halo ever, kind of like with Halo 4)

I agree but i must applaud 343 for being the only video game company in history to BREAKE THEIR OWN GAME

The maps update, i.e. new weapon and vehicle spawns, is complete garbage.

That’s just your opinion, i could play FireFight for hours.

Weapon update was good, apart from the LR now being a mini sniper and the SAW is now OP.
Warthog needed a buff, Mantis, maybe not so much, but I’m not that picky.

What they did wrong, is change the map weapons and spawn times.

Why take away the only scorpion in the game on Exile, and replace it with a Mantis that’s going to get rolled by the banshee and gauss duo?
Or why have ridiculous respawn times for snipers and SAWs? Its always been 3 mins for snipers, no need to change that.

If I remember correctly, 343i were all about “We don’t want too many power weapons on the map at one time, that’s why weapons despawn so quick”. By that logic, the new respawn times and SAWs, etc is just hypocrisy…

And for the love of god, please go back to REach/ Halo 3 BTB settings.
By that I mean
*Radar
*Standard loadouts
*More base weapons on map, like 2 PP, some stickies, DMR’s, BR’s, etc

It worked then, I think people would ahppily play those seeting over Slayer Pro in BTB…

Except you know, all the DMR user had to do was take a few steps back, or spam the light rifles higher flinch and lower rate of fire.
O and I forgot to mention that the magnum could also beat the DMR.

DICE and Battlefield 3 would like to talk to you.

OT: Again, I don’t think the update hurt to much. The problem now is that some of the maps (BTB maps in particular) don’t play the same. That doesn’t necessarily mean they play bad, heck I think Haven plays 10x better, but they have changed and we all know the Halo communities stance on change.

Halo Wars, I enjoyed it least of all. On the other hand, ODST had/has loads of replay value.

The Scorpion must return. If not on Exile, then some other map(s). Why not Exile and Ragnarok?

As for the weapon spawns,I don’t bother with all the weapons I have mastered…only use/pick up what are left to be completed. Then, I’ll start using map pickups again. I have noticed how quick weapons respawn…the former 3 minutes should be reinstated for weapon respawns and four for vehicles.

To all Forgers:

Dudes/gals…talented people you are! I, for one, appreciate the hard work you all do and the maps that have made it into MM. Keepit up!

Just take a few steps back huh? As your foe is pelting you with his AR?

I came here under the impression that there was another Halo ring that was destroyed.

boo…

Oh man if that happened a Monitor would be so mad!

  1. Paragraphs please

  2. Nothing wrong with adding Forge maps.

  3. This update helps the game play better. As for all of you who are saying the weapons kill to fast I’m going to go ahead and assume you haven’t played the first 3 Halo games.

For all you complaining about no playable Elites:

I predict that there will be a Halo 4 multiplayer expansion this fall. It will include new Elite Ops, Covenant themed map packs and a new multiplayer experience where you rank up your Elite to level 130.

You heard it here first

I was addressing the LR being “equal” pre-patch. As for the AR, Storm Rifle, and Suppressor, that is why Almost all DMR-ist use boltshots.

I agree with most of the OP but I think 343 can bring it back, with Halo 5 they just need to have a longer and better campaign with a multiplayer that’s brought back to it’s roots and more Halo 2/3 esc with an in-game ranking system as well as new gameplay elements that aren’t just taken from CoD.
