Halo has finally been destroyed I

I don’t care if I get banned from waypoint but I would just like to say halo 4 has become the worst halo in the series and I would like to thank 343 for destroying one of the best games ever made. 1 there are too many forge maps and they are rubbish plain and boring there should be a separate playlist for forge maps. 2 Gone are the days where you learnt how to master a weapon and map or use strategy and skill to dominate the game now it’s all 343 I can’t win with this weapon can you make it more powerful so I don’t have to learn how to use it properly or can u make some maps that have no advantage points so I don’t have to use a bit of strategy or skill to take control of that point. Finally number 3 why on earth have you stared changing the weapons and vehicles that spawn at the start of the game there was nothing wrong with how it was when the game first came out I know I’m not the only person who feels like this as I have over 30 hardcore halo gamer friends that have stopped playing halo 4 because of all the changes that have been made and its not just them neither you only have to look at the number of people playing online and you will see it has fallen dramatically I would go as far as saying more people played halo 3 than halo 4 and you have just lost another player. My only hope is when halo 5 comes out that you go back to basics then I might start playing again.

Halo 4 at launch was awful. It needed to be changed. However the spawn rate of power weapons is a bit absurd. It’s a step in the right direction(the title update), but the game is still disappointing over all, that’s just my opinion however

I disagree. The last update is really good and halo 4 needed it.

1 Use paragraphs
2 All those people left months ago because of the randomness
3. The DMR could statically beat every other load out weapon in their range except for the Boltshot, Magnum and Assault weapons. (changed this point)
4. I agree with the forge maps being over played
5. The weapons and vehicles were changed for the better.

Funny, my game case seems okay. Are you sure it’s “destroyed” maybe it’s just you

Hey now.
Halo 4 is far away from a bad game.
Remember Wars or ODST?

As long as you make constructive criticism, you’ll be fine. Its when it becomes flamebait that it gets you locked. 343 and the mods don’t just go lock every thread that doesn’t praise them.

OT: Really, the campaign was good, thats all thats needed for a good Halo game for me. I just wish it was more fun to replay.

What are you talking about?
Halo wars is an amazing console strategy game! A very addicting one, too!
And Halo 3 ODST is amongst one of the best Halo games ever!
I know a lot of people who would agree with me.

Wars was extremely boring and ODST had 0 replay value.

1.thats your opinion, it’s a good strategy game.
2. ODST had firefight (which was boss) and the campaign was fun to replay with friends. It didn’t have PvP but it wasn’t supposed to be a full game.

Well…

  1. Everyone has his own opinion. When you think, the Forge maps are ‘rubbish, plain and boring’, then give them your feedback. But don’t blame 343 for this, that’s not their fault. Really nothing is their fault.

  2. Those days aren’t truly gone. With the new title update several weapons are way harder to use now because Auto-Aim has been reduced and so on. And there are several playlists where skill can be an obvious game changer. Dominion for example. A team of Dominion-trained and coordinated people vs. a team of randoms. Who wins?

  3. I really wonder about this too. Why did they change all the weapon/vehicle spawns and spawn times?
It’s strange… but we have to adapt it.
And ‘Hardcore Halo Friends’… well, I think, our view of ‘Hardcore’ is a bit different then. The problem there is, the community here is a bit more than 30 people, so when the community likes new forge maps or updates, then they win, obviously.

Eh, I loved Wars myself. ODST had no replay value if you played alone. Friends made it fun. It was a game meant to be played with friends.

My multiple playthroughs of Wars and ODST would suggest you’re wrong and assuming everyone has your opinion.
You probably didn’t like them because a) Wars is not an FPS b) ODST has no matchmaking. You mustn’t like the books, Halo Legends, or Halo 4 FUD, then.

As a forger, we would make them better if we could. It’s really not our fault that forge is incredibly limited in what it can do. And while our maps may not be aesthetically appealing, many of them play far better than default Halo 4 maps (like Abandon for example.)

They do come up a bit often though, but at least it’s more selection than what we had before.

Theoretically, they increased the skill gap in the new update. It’s not just a one gun game anymore with the DMR statistically dominating everything else, the other guns can now be used to their full advantage. There’s nothing wrong with them killing faster, now what we need to do is make movement speed faster and aim assist lower, which will add a slightly larger skill gap.

As for maps and control points, they’ve been like that since Halo 4’s release. The forge maps you hate so much have, for the most part, reintroduced control points.

Sentences friend, sentences.

Anyway, there’s always room for improvement. On smaller maps, introducing more static weapon spawns adds control points to the gameplay. You want to control those weapons or you lose. Maps like Haven have benefited hugely from the introduction of these weapons. Some of the BTB maps are a bit annoying with the introduction of Mantis’s (I’m not a huge fan of the thing in the first place) but saying they were perfect before is pretty silly.

The player count dropped dramatically long before 343 changed anything, and that was part of the problem; The fact that they didn’t change anything. Also, Halo 3 did have more players on, vastly more.

Isn’t that kinda hypocritical what you just said? You are assuming that everyone has your opinion. Not everyone liked those game for their own reasons. I don’t like Halo 3 and personally hate it the most. Does that make me wrong? No, its my opinion. And he is entitled to his own as I am to mine.

ODST was awesome.

Amen, Pedro! Halo: Wars is the game I’d always wanted, an RTS game, for the Halo universe. I’m a huge fan of both, so the game is a good one to me.

ODST was an awesome game, it was the -first- game where we get to see the war through the eyes of a regular human. Not an alien, and most certainly not a biologically enhanced super soldier, but a Marine. An Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Just walking around that city at night, discovering new pathways around an area, unlocking those sweet weapon caches that gave you that extra boost of ammo when you were low, made it all the better.

BACK ON TOPIC:
If you PERSONALLY don’t like the game, then follow these steps:

  1. Hold down the central button on your controller. (Xbox logo).
  2. Click the option to return you to dashboard. (Usually the “Y” button).
  3. Retract the disk from your console.
  4. Insert new game.
  5. STOP COMPLAINING.
  6. Move on with your life.

The community makes better maps than Certain Affinity. I say we need more Forge maps in MM. I do agree that community maps should have it’s own playlist, so that every game I play is on a community made map.

Now, it seems that there is some people here who think that Wars and ODST were awesome.
Sure, i understand your points and all, but its my opinion that both of them were bad, and they are most of the time said to be the worst Halo titles out there.

And just for the record, i find Halo 2 being the worst Halo title out there.
