‘‘Halo has changed.
It’s no longer about playing on splitscreen or preventing a weapon that can destroy a galaxy. It’s an endless series of war games simulations, fought by red and blue teams.
Halo–and it’s current state–has become a money making machine.
Halo has changed.
Halo players carry req points, use req points to get gear. Super humans inside their suit, with new enhance armor abilities.
Money control, voting control, banning control, warzone control…your stats are monitored and everything else is kept under 343’s control.
The age of combat, has become the age of reqs, all in the name of the pay to win catastrophe from power weapons that encourage farming, and he who spends the most req packs, controls warzone.
Halo…has changed.
When warzone is under a players control, warzone supports 343’s routine.’’
-Master Chief
When and where did the Chief say this?
No, but in all seriousness, Halo multiplayer was never about saving the galaxy from a doomsday weapon. That’s what the campaigns were about. And yes, Halo has changed, but it’s not the first time.
Halo has changed in every Halo game ever made.
You haven’t played a single game of Halo 5.
EDIT: You’ve also only played 7 hours worth of MCC. That’s all. You haven’t touched any other Halo game.
> preventing a weapon that can destroy a galaxy
Is it? I mean, we’ve got Cortana, her Created, and the Guardians, sooo…
> It’s an endless series of war games, fought by red and blue teams.
I’m sorry, hasn’t it always been this way? Multiplayer has always been a bunch of people, fighting it out because they aren’t the same color, right?
> Halo–and it’s current state–has become a money making machine.
A franchise is meant to make money? STOP THE -Yoinking!- PRESSES.

Have you tried the Arena playlists? No REQ points, no REQ cards, no armor mods, none of the vaguely pay-to-win aspects of Warzone…
> Money control, voting control, banning control, warzone control…your stats are monitored and everything else is kept under 343’s control.
Well, no -Yoink-, Sherlock. They own the franchise.

Huh? Wait, what? I’d laugh, but expressing laughter over a keyboard is kinda awkward.
Halo has changed ever since Halo 2.
I thought we wanted change, because we surely don’t want to be like Call of Duty which is the “same game every year,” right?

You’re telling me it wasn’t before? Was Bungie making this game out of the goodness of their hearts and not wanting to make money?
Reds fighting Blues?
The Developer making money and controlling how the game works?
Halo has changed?

That burn was so on point that I don’t even think cryo-freezing can save him.
Halo has changed but not to what your saying not everyone plays warzone lol

I played Halo 5 at my friends house. MCC is broken and the cross playlist is ridiculous.

Also…it’s not a “Pay-to-win” situation as you want to put it seeing as REQs don’t guarantee a win. You can spawn a tank or power weapon and instantly die on the battle field and you can still take out enemies/vehicles easily without REQs…it only takes one grenade to take out a tank. So yea…REQs mean nothing when you can’t play for -YOINK-. While yes…REQs can improve your chances at winning…they do not guarantee a win. So that point is complete bull.

Did you only play Warzone? MCC works fine to me and a lot of other people as well. For the people it doesn’t work for anymore is in a minor percentage instead of a major percentage. The campaign works fine for everyone as well.

MCC was fixed a LOOOOONG time ago. Several months, in fact. Also, Halo has always been a game made to be fun. In order to increase the fun factor, 343 needed to expand on Halo’s most fun aspect: their multiplayer. Yes, the campaign has changed drastically (not in much of a good way IMO), but they’re still testing the waters. You can’t bash it if you haven’t played enough of it to criticize it.

Exactly.

The OPs rant isn’t canon.

Correction: This is OP’s opinion.

I’d say playable over fixed even though I hear people are still having fireteam problems. There are still a lot of bugs in MCC.

-Yoink- 343 for making us fight reds and blues!!!

Which isn’t established in Halo’s canon. At least, as far as I know. Feel free to correct me, guys.
If 343 wants to say MP is Spartan combat simulations, whatever… but I do have a problem with how they’re presenting the campaigns and expanding the lore. The Prometheans are ridiculous… Guardians being giant bird-like creatures… ridiculous… Covenant spider-walkers (Bungie) and giant squid mechs… ridiculous… Hyper linear level design… ridiculous… See the trend?
Granted, 343 isn’t solely to blame… Bungie started the slow, steady decline in the universe’s design, but 343 just drove the final nails in the coffin.
