like I see some folks saying th cat ears are fortnite levles of silly but folks you need to realize that halo has always had silly stuff since the start

point is halo doesn’t take itself seriously all the time it had some humor here and there so dont get upset over somtihgn silly in halo its a part of it always has been always will be
Some of those things you listed were extremely hard to come by (like the original flaming helmet) or were optional toggles (like the skulls).
You’re really trying to compare the Grunts and the Marines whose humor was dark and built around the game’s premise and setting to the Grunts of Infinite that repeatedly use potty humor and repeatedly break the fourth wall rather than keep their humor in-theme? The humor of the Marines and the Grunts were written in as part of the script. Now they’re bad jokes about current events or about the game – not the game’s world.
Stop trying to justify this terrible Fortniteification of Halo. The cat ears are garbage. Full stop. It makes the game look like a complete and total cartoon of itself. When I saw someone with a flaming skull, I knew they earned that. When I see someone with cat ears, I think " a fool and their money are soon parted", and that they probably sub to a bunch of Twitch egirls hot tub streams.

Something else that should also be considered are the truly amazing Timmy and Olive helmet in Halo 5. Both of these helmets beats any of the other Halo helmets by miles.
