Not to sound like an -Yoink- or anything, but there were a couple occasions where I read those posts, and I wanted to reply, but I just thought, “I’ll let him figure it out himself, shouldn’t take too long.”
While I do think the text box could be simpler for adding HTML code, I do think the 343i forums are a huge step up from the old Bungie Halo forums (man that site was primitive back then lol).
Love the waypoint forums and the color scheme fits with the futuristic theme of Halo.

Interesting, because I still feel like the B.net forums were pretty good back in the day. They were generally stable, virtually bug free, no frills, and dark. This is in contrast to the problems I personally have with Waypoint that I’ve listed earlier. Sure, we have likes, notifications, and user tags, but personally I value functionality and comfort over extra features. I would gladly give up the aforementioned features for a solid, functional, plain text based text box if it came to that. Mind you, I don’t see why we couldn’t have both.

I love plain text forums, but for the size of the community, bnet just wasn’t practical/functional anymore regarding notifications and other things, so it became hard to remain involved on the forum when there were so many threads going on. Besides that, bnet was awesome for a while, but for me the excessive rules became too much. Sometime around the release of Reach, they just went nuts banning people and adding new rules, but I think they did this to close the forum since they were planning on selling their Halo rights and closing bnet anyway. For example, when Reach came out, they started making weird rules like you can’t make new threads about H3 matchmaking and if there was a thread from like 10 years prior about nades, you had to post any new comments about nades into that thread and not make a new one (note these are just made up examples based on what they were doing)…so in reality, it seems like they were having bandwidth issues, which is plausible since they started getting firm with how many gifs and pics were posted when Reach was released.
Black contrast is really cool and easy on the eyes, but I was on bnet since H2, so the waypoint forums were a nice refresh for me.

you can search thread, just search a topic that interests you don’t check date and boom.
