I think Halo 5 needs stronger gun control. Gun control is an issue; let’s talk about it.
Like most of you, I’m also a lactose intolerant vegan living in my parent’s basement on a gluten free diet, who only believes my Prius makes me carbon neutral. Now that you know about me, let’s talk politics.
Under the 343 administration, no laws for gun control are being enforced. This is ridiculous! We need to ban the assault rifle. These weapons are unnecessary and endanger a lot of innocent Spartans. No one needs a gun; if you are being attacked by a criminal Spartan, call the police. Common sense tells us that if we disarm everyone, then no one will ever be murdered again. If we had tighter gun control laws, we could save a lot of Spartan lives. We can do better Halo Community; let’s make our voices heard. It seems like anybody these days with enough req points can call in weapons of mass destruction, without a single background check or national registry of their firearms. Just the other day, I saw a lone gunman go on a killing spree. He killed so many people it was almost a killing frenzy. This is insane! I’m not sure if the gunman was motivated by religious jihad or mental illness, but a lot of innocent Spartans died that day. The events that unfolded that day can only be described as a Warzone.
At the very least, the 343 administration should push legislation for reduced magazine size. Look at the statistics: 80% of all kills are with guns, with only 13% deaths by drunk drivers, 5% by assassinations, and 2% other (death from natural causes, health care negligence, -Yoink!-, etc.). With smaller magazine size, the total number of Spartans massacred would be significantly reduced. This is common sense gun reform.
I may be poorly educated and don’t have all the answers 343, but the violence needs to stop, and gun control is the only answer.

This is typical right-winged propaganda. The founding fathers of Halo (Bungie) gave us the constitutional right to own an assault rifle and pistol from the beginning. We learned how to shoot before we learned how to run. But over the course of 15 years, the founding principals of the Community have changed, and our constitutional right to own guns should be stripped away from us - to protect us. It is scientific and logical fact that guns kill people. What other motivation or conclusion could be drawn whenever someone dies from gun violence? Guns don’t keep people safe; they can literally explode at any moment for absolutely no reason whatsoever. It’s a fact; I saw an internet meme on facebook that one time about guns exploding, so it must be true. The only logical answer to end violence is stripping away our constitutional rights. And sure, you may argue that there are millions of responsible gun-owning Spartans in the Community, but that doesn’t fit the narrative… I mean keep people safe. I was raised to believe that whenever things don’t go my way, I can retreat to my safe space and others will look out for me and take care of me. I know the rest of the Community completely agrees with my values and upbringing, so there is no reason not to pass these common sense gun laws. Its common sense.
I am intolerant towards those that hold a different opinion than me. And if you disagree with my beliefs, it’s because you’re a bigot.
This seems like a poor attempt at joking about a serious issue. People died last week, show some respect.
Lets not ban the assault rifle… It is a staple of the Halo starting weapons. Learn how to use all the weapons properly… they each have their strengths and weaknesses.
I love this so much. It won’t be on here for long but it’s nice to see some people on Waypoint and in the general community have dat sweet sweet logic.

On a silly note, let’s ban the AR in Halo simply because it’s crap and can’t kill anything.
