I still play older games from the PS1 / N64 era for those two reasons, despite how outdated the games look.
Games from the 16-bit era, though, never look outdated. Weird, hm? When graphics became a priority, everything else was thrown out the door.
Yeah i know but they already have a good gameplay so why can’t they inveast for graphics.
But you have to admit that the graphics are falling behind compared to other games.
no,no,no because halo uses colours that arent grey-black-brown, it means that it doesnt look “realistic” or “graphics are crap” because of it.halo is good because of its colourful landscapes and maps that dont look exactly the same as the bit you just came out of.

even the movie industry is haveing the same problem with them thinking that graphics< story, its the reason all movie’s now are going for 3D all the time.
anyway halo graphics look fine to me, all i care about is my campaign story

Cryengine 3 kicks every other games graphics engine buttocks. No computer in the world can use cryengine 3 on Crysis 2 on the highest graphics.

Yep i got a evga 500 ti 2gb and i can run it at high,you can max out the game with 3 gtx580.
Anniversary looks nice enough.
And I would bet 343i is doing some amazing things with Corrinne Yu for Halo 4. 
Those Cryengine shots are running on PC hardware that is vastly more powerful than the Xbox 360 that Halo runs on. The comparison is stupid.

Graphics do not make a game. Kids of the new generation forget this and think that if something looks pretty, it’s good. But if it looks like a game from the '90’s it’s horrible.
However, even though graphics don’t make a game. They are a big factor for Halo: CEA because the campaign side of the game is a complete overhaul with a new graphics engine. It’s a remake, and as a remake it should have up to date graphics.
You do raise a valid point sir, but remember for nearly every game. Graphics do not make them good.
Yep halo pretty much has the one of the best storys in today’s games.
Amazing graphics can’t save even the best of games if the story and game play is faulty.
