Halo games Disk vs HDD

Could someone please answer this question, if I was to install Halo 4 to my HDD using the disk would it give the same performacne in loading time as to buying it straight from the marketplace and downloading it to you’re HDD? So it’s really Disk installing to HDD vs Marketplace HDD.

And finally, people say you should’nt install Halo 3 and the ODST Multiplayer disk to your HDD with the disks, what if I bought Halo 3 from the marketplace would it still give a slower performance like installing it to your HDD with the disk?

And just to double check, it is only Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST Multi-player disk they say not to install isn’t it?

Thank You

Installing Halo 4 from the Disc or Marketplace wouldn’t make a difference - they’re both the same files. Same goes for any other game.

As for Halo 3 and Halo 3 Mythic, you shouldn’t install these at all. The option to install games to the HDD wasn’t introduced until after these games came out so they weren’t optimized for the feature and actually load the game slower.

Halo 3 and Halo 3 Mythic aren’t the only games out there which aren’t recommended to install, pretty much any game before the feature came out shouldn’t be.

Ok thank you sorry aboutthe others posts. But what about downlaoding halo 3 striaght from the market place that wouldnt have slow loading times would it? or would that be normal like the disk. or would it be better thsn the disk as in loading times

Halo 3 from the marketplace would be the same as installing it to the hard drive from a disk - a little slower than what it would be if you were playing from the disk.

Oh I would have thought they would have optimized it to run smooth like the disk because it came out at such a late date as a download (20/04/2010)
