Hello Everyone,
I have been doing some research for a video and I’ve put to together a list of when all of the Halo games were available for pre-order. This is what I’ve come up with. From what I know the first Halo game to have a pre-order was Halo 3 (tell me if I’m wrong). I also know that every game released pre-orders during the same year as launch. Please fact check me if you can and include sources.
Halo 3 - May 16, 2007
Halo Wars - February 11, 2009
Halo 3: ODST - August 27, 2009
Halo: Reach - July 29, 2010
Halo CEA - July 22, 2011
Halo 4 - May 28, 2012
Halo: MCC - June 10, 2014
Halo 5 - September 1, 2015
Halo Wars 2 - December 20, 2016

I was able to pre-order the collector’s edition of Halo 5 on 9/1/15. Not sure if that was different from base or not, but that’s what my Amazon search history indicated.

HW2 got delayed from late 2016 to February 2017, I guess a better metric would be to see how many months pre-orders lasted. He probably didn’t include them because they aren’t very popular, unfortunately. There was a guy in a thread I read recently who didn’t know who Atriox was; I was like, “Take heed, what you say is heresy!”

Sorry, I began with just the FPS titles but I can add the Halo Wars games. My dates are only guesses though so tell me if I’m wrong.

I’m probably going to just keep it at standard editions, but this is better proof then what I have found, I’ll update it.

I am going to eventually add months before launch to the list. Thanks for pointing that out.
