Ever since I started playing Halo in 2003 starting off with Combat Evolved when I was about 4 or 5 years old, I was always fascinated by the gameplay, the story, and other stuff. But the one feature that has caught my eye ever since then was the ability to customize your Spartan.
Onto the point of this post,
Which Halo game(s) had the best, and most understandable customization system for making your own Spartan?
And which Halo game(s) had a customization system that was just too much to handle to the point where you just disliked it and couldn’t enjoy making your Spartan’s appearance? Not that i’m dissing any Halo titles, of course I like playing them all from time to time.
I personally preferred the Halo 3 customization mainly because I liked the way the armor looks but I also liked the concept of having to achieve certain things or find certain skulls to unlock it. but I also liked in reach that there were all these sub classes for each set that you could buy with CR points, plus how organized it was. the worst one in my opinion was halo 4 because most of the armor looked really ugly to me. I ended up buying the pack that had the ODST and mark V armor sets just to have a helmet I liked. Halo 5 was also filled with some crappy looking armor but they do also have tons of other options that I love. however in halo 5 armor is unlocked randomly, there is less to customize, and it is completely unorganized. I usually hate changing my armor in halo 5 because I have to search through a cluster of random armor sets and hope that I see the one I’m looking for. and the more you unlock the more you just want to stick with what you got because of how tedious it is just to surf through each set.
Reach, Reach, and Reach again.
The best looking armor, the most variety, and just the plain coolest. Also the best unlock system, utilizing the Waypoint unlocks as well.
Halo 4 and 5’s just plain sucked.
There’s no debate, Reach had the best for every reason. 5 is easily the worst.

Well, you never know, someone could stumble upon here, and just make a huge debate over anything. I don’t do debates, but I’ll watch one!
Favorite is either Halo 3 or Halo 4 (because they both use level/achievement/commendation-based unlock systems without requiring virtual currency)
Least favorite is either Reach (overkill to the point of redundancy) or 5 (underwhelming, repetitive, and incredibly simple).
Reach had the most in depth customization but I’d love if they went into even more detail for Halo 6 especially when H5’s was so lackluster.

What do you mean by “more detail for Halo 6”? Like Reach’s customization options, but even more options than ever? Are we wanting customizable everything to advanced options?

I meant just more options. Reach had great customization because you could customize each armour part so just expand on that with more variants in each section but specifically I personally want customizable patterns for your armour and skins for your weapons.
