Now before I start, I’m just going to address that I didn’t really know where to put this in, so I put it in the Universe Section.
Now a really cool game idea I have is a forerunner type game.
A complete spin off of halo, and it would share nothing alike besides the name and its story/lore with the previous games.
So this how I can imagine it.
You play as either a human or forerunner during the forerunner -human war, while switching back and forth between the two species.
Then the second part could be during the forerunner - flood war, as you play as a forerunner during the last years of the Ecumene, and delve into the shield worlds and halo’s creations.
The multiplayer could be a huge open 32v32 game with you being either a human or forerunner with various abilities (such as teleporting)
As for the atmosphere of the game or mood, I imagine this as Transformers War of Cybertron. (Or more or less the e3 mission that was shown for halo 5.
Now since this is a complete spin off, and not meant to be halo in terms of gameplay it could add some very interesting gameplay mechanics.
Another big purpose this could serve is letting the fans know about the forerunner’s story without reading the books.
Could be fun, especially if the story/characters are relevant to future games. I’m up for anything with a good plot and fun gameplay, so yeah I’d buy it.
