Halo Forge Glitch

I’m building an infection map and making use of elevator scripts… one of the doors I made I specifically have it shut… but when I launch back into forge the door slides open… it shouldn’t slide open unless you press the call button.
I’ve tried deleting the door and making a new one… un-scripting all the other pieces including the door and re-scripting… nothing is working… the door continues to be open at the start of forge and the game if I start a custom game.

Anyone having this issue…

I never make elevators in forge i dont even know how to make one

I’m afraid you’re not going to like the answer if he problem is what I believe.

Did you, at any moment, use scripts with the conditions On Spawn; On Match/Round Start and the action Message Send; Power State Toggle/On/Off? If you did and then decided it wasn’t right and deleted the object/group scripted without deleting the scripts first then those scripts are still there and can’t be deleted.

If that is te problem, then your only chance of keeping up the work in those elevators is trying to use channels you haven’t used before for the Message/Power State scripts.

I built an elevator tutorial map right when forge came out. Forgehub did a video on it. I would consider using the mechanics I used. It has call buttons and nice doors and such.

Also, you may be having issues with a terrible forge bug. If you delete an object with multiple scripts then the scripts won’t go away. Need to delete scripts first then the object until they fix. This can ruin maps as there is nothing you can do to fix sometimes.

The only one I used is Power set, ahh I see, I will deff try other channels… never thought about that

I will try this as well and those are the scripts I use, Forge hub is very help

nothing is working, should i just delete the map and restart… it would be a shame…

You got another option but it depends on time. A few months ago 343i announced that we’d be getting a tool to save groups of objects and share them. You could always save your map for when that comes out
