I don’t think there is any other direction left for the Halo Franchise, except open source PC.
I’d love nothing more than for Halo to be on pc. Halo Online shows some promise. But there’s no way MS would let the only reason to own an xbone out of its grasp.
Halo PC was one of my favorite and most played games for many years. I especially liked the 3rd person camera programs!

Ya but once the modding community starts there is no end to how awesome this game could truly be, as well as more financially beneficial than just req packs. Modded halo servers would probably generate more income than the sales of the game itself.
They should put the HMCC on PC in five to ten years from now.

I doubt anyone is buying the console solely for this game considering how bad it is atm.
Halo is a very contained and “presented” experience, and it doesn’t mesh well with the PC modding community. Even its map creator is a very contained experience compared to other console games’ map creators (like Far Cry 2-4).

I was dumb enough to buy the xbone for the mcc. We exist.
You can always buy a 3rd party KB/M interface for the XB1.
Even though I play the majority of my games on PC, I wouldn’t really want Halo (at least the main games) to be on it. First of all, I think the PC community would be rather rude and have an “elitist” mindset. That’s not to say the some of the community would be nice and more on the casual side. I’m okay with the spin-off titles like Halo Wars and Halo Online though. I think Microsoft should make a spin-off PC exclusive, while the main games should be Xbox exclusive.
Putting Halo back onto PC would be fantastic. Don’t know why Microsoft are limiting this franchise due to an outdated and inferior console.
Imagine the Mods that players would create…
